Ah, Max Headroom.....there's memories! Good ol' Matt Frewer. Terrible Australian accent in A Town Called Eureka. Good to see him still on TV tho.

Firefly...most cancelled program on TV.....but it was worth losing it to get that film.
It WAS my fave film of all time....until I saw The Prestige. My word, what a film. Michael Caine - Great man. Hugh Jackman - surprisingly versatile.

Lol, back before the internet we only had four channels to choose from, so it was never hard to find what you wanted! So long as, on a saturday you wanted cricket, snooker, soccer or horseracing.

Hey, what you got against Soccer (I mean real football, not the stuff these americans play anyhow) anyway? Thank God for a million TV channels and the internet, where I can watch real football.

And here's hoping Eureka comes back, with OR without an accent. Good show, hey?

Other reason for the long break? SO that I can catch-up on all the other shows my TiVo recorded, like Dresden Files, Eureka, etc. Oh yeah, and F-1 season just started! Hooray! (Oh, and I hope Chelsea don't win anything this year Slippy, I hope they are not your team, are they?)

few things here...

a- prestige DOES kick arse, one of my fav moves of all time, and thats saying alot

b- what if this break (besides ratings) is to MAYYYBE film some of season 2? (primarily a few parts to eps 1) i mean...they still have to have a preview to the next season maybe? long shot, but plausible

c-what i did like was...they had 3 of the most kick arse eps back to back to back before the hiatus. I mean think about it...i remember watching "unexpected" and when it was done thinking "theres NO WAY the next eps can be better than this!!" (peter going all out with his powers basically....this was the first time i saw him using them willingly and AGAINST someone with hatred) then i saw "company man" and i thought the same thing at the end! "this eps > the last eps! theres no WAAAAAY the next eps can top this" of course...i was dead wrong.

now im sure many of u dont have ur favs in that order but, they had THE 3 best most powerful episodes of the season! (and fast too! they didnt BS the entire eps) they gave sooo much info too especially companyman+parasite.

point is, im still pissed i have to wait so long for more hiros but...(oh yea, i call heroes, hiros in real life) i have to wait for more hiros and is pisses me off but i still got u guys. i try to read "theories" but not so much spoilers

that being said...i think hiro gives peter his scar =[

Good point....we already know (unconfirmed until I check properly) that 3 new characters are to be introduced by the end of the season. Stands to reason there'll be some overlap, so it makes sense to get the scenes shot while they've got the characters and the sound stage all set up for 'em.

Every episode has been better than the last and, in being better, made the previous episode better still.

scar....yeah....they'll probably train together, both having the same ability to master....there're bound to be accidents!

Incidentally, hasn't the conversation on the boards completely changed tack during the hiatus....it's fascinating how we're polishing up and chucking out some old theories, creating, refining and abandoning new ones, looking deeper for clues......

We're all completely freaking nuts!

Something else:

You all know there is a looming WRITERS strike in Hollywood, right? You know, they are actually going to start filming Season 2 at the conclusion (iimediately after) of Season 1? You know this is now part of the delay right?

This tells me a couple of things from a creative standpoint:

As the writers' creative juices are flowing, this goes along with what Slippy and DEFTONESDEA said about the best episodes back to back to back. I expect we will get absolute gems for episodes from 19 to the 2 hour finale # 23. I also expect this to continue for the first few episodes of season 2, at least until the writers strike, (a) either gets settled, or (b) things get back to a normal shooting schedule.

Having them ask for ideas will also help them short-circut that event as well. Use up your writers to make a few episodes with the viewer ideas, and when or if the strike does come about, you have material that has been given to you to storm through.. Who knows? I can hope we won't have a long layoff next season!

I know what you mean! In the past, it's also been known for Producers like Tim Kring to take a stab at writing...

Oh, and you are not kidding about using viewer ideas. I know at least one person who is now a writer in Holywood, because he took a chance when the last big strike went on too long! So it can happen for you too!

(My bro used to work for a Holywood production company and he was assistant director/casting director/assistant producer on a few movies. I got to meet a lot of writers -- I got to read a lot of scripts, especially back in the 1980s/1990s -- some that actually made it as movies).
