| Yes but in politics its easy to become corrupt. Time will tell. Hopefully the scriptwriters will have a look in this forum and maybe we can help inspire them. |

I like Hiro's character because he realizes he's been given a gift and instantly thinks of being a Superhero. The others: not so much, although I think Claire gave it a thought before becoming all angsty-teenish "I wanna be normaL" chick.
It's just a matter of time before they meet and form cliques. The thing I would like to see, tho, is not a "Justice League/Avengers" team, but everyone on their own, trying to interfere between themselves as little as possible unless neccessary.
Does that make sense? |

Actually we don't know for sure that he wins the election. After all, Hiro and company are going to "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" in order to prevent the Nukes. If that's the case, it's possible that Nathan may have to lose the election in order for that change to take place.
Anything we see of Hiro from the future can't be considerd absoulute since part of what he can do is change the course of time. At least as it may happen. (At least that's what it looks like to me, if we work from the assumption that from Hiro's persepctive all events are really fixed and have/will happen then it's a little fuzzier. And at this point Hiro may not understand that yet. Future Hiro suggests though that he has to be careful with what he does. (referencing the "Rift" comment)).
This is the comic book/scifi world. Nothing can be taken for granted and just becuse we're told one thing doesn't mean that it's true. That's part of the art of story telling.
Claire's dad for instance may not be a bad guy. He may be morally ambigous, and not afraid to do what it takes to achieve his goals, but that doesn't mean he's out to hurt the "Heroes". For all we know he may be doing what he can to help them.
Peter is at the same time one of the weakest heroe's and one of the most powerful. If it turns out he can channel several heroes at once, put him in a group and he becomes pretty damn tough, in fact he also would gain the powers of any bad "heroes" he encounters. So put him in a room with Sylar and you have a heck of a powerfull good guy.
I can see Matt ending up working with the FBI a lot. Maybe even joining them.
Who knows, maybe Mr. Benette is going to be the connecting factor for all of them. He does, after all, seem to know who they all are.
Doh, gotta get back to work.

People need to eat and pay their bills. Nobody in the show is a millionaire so far, other than possibly Nathan through campaign contributions. Nobody is sponsored by corporations, again other than possibly Nathan.
So their options for living are:
1) Wealthy benefactor (ala millionaire Professor X or Tony Stark)
2) Corporate sponsorship (wearing a Nike cape? employed by Microsoft?)
3) Working for the government
4) Living off public charity
2 and 3 wouldn't be true heroes, as their goals would be dictated by their employer. Unless their employer was some wealthy charity organization. Number 4 means no secret identity, no "normal" life, which is obviously important to a few of the characters.
Having a sudden billionaire pop up that's willing to fund them to act as world heroes...um, could anyone really see that happening? It seems like a convenient solution that the plot writers could script in and then forget about the money problem. |
We've already seen what Hiro can do in Vegas. And we know Isaac can see the future. All he would need to do is look forward to next week's Powerball lottery and BAM!! Their money troubles are over.... |

Ah excellent point! This would be plausible and would actually allow for future plot elements of being mislead, controlled, etc. You know - the whole Cloak and Dagger routine. |
I never thought of that... but it's genius!!!!
I just hope Nathan comes to terms and realizes he's meant for something... not just congressman ^.^
And I'm hoping that the will get together... but not Justice League like! I want to see in reality, what a group of total strangers would do to unite and save the world... |
