Personally, I think that Peter has gotten over that stumbling block. Kring can only use the whole "Peter can't control his powers" for so long until it gets old. I think Peter's mindwipe in Season 2 helped him regain an even BETTER control over his abilities. His character wasn't the same - instead of being the softee he was in Season 1, he became mentally harder in Season 2 because he wasn't attached to emotions towards many others (such as those towards Nathan, Angela, and Claire during the first season).
In "Lizards," we saw that Peter's body was essentially controlling the powers (he didn't know he could voluntarily phase, shoot electricity, TK a shotgun out of someone's hand, or punch a guy clear across the room). Rather than using his mind to use his abilities, his body reacted to the situation, as if all of these abilities were natural reflexes.
In the episode where Claude is training Peter and throws him off of the roof, Peter claims that he has to "remember" people in order to use their abilities. This is obviously also not true because of the fact that he used his abilities in "Lizards" and didn't have any memories of anybody or anything, not even of himself. And this is why I don't think Kring will go back to the whole 'overloading' thing for Peter. I think from now on, Peter will be in control in regards to all of his powers, he just has to learn how to use each one when it manifests for the first time.
As for the scar, the only way he'll get it, IMO, is if a villain outsmarts him in some form or another. It's going to be Brains vs. Brawn with Peter winning the "brawn," but the other guy/girl winning the "brains."

yeah, im really confused about this because with him having the healing abilities i think that he would have to be around someone that an stop his powers alltogether because i cant think of anything that would preven the healing process other than that........which makes me think it was hiro or done whils working with hiro in the future
Yeah... there really are only three possibilities for Peter's scar not healing:
1) If the Haitian is around him during the WHOLE time it would take the wound to heal (because as soon as The Haitian leaves Peter's area, the scar would begin to heal.
2) Peter is forced to take those "Haitian" pills that prevent him from using his abilities.
3) Peter really isn't Peter, and is instead inhabited by another entity that cannot control the abilities that Peter has absorbed.
We know Future Peter has the scar, but that's because F. Peter didn't have healing when the scar was inflicted. We also know that the event when the wound was inflicted will be coming up in the near future for Present Peter. However, let's keep this in mind - Future Claire was "dead" right up until the point when Present Peter saved her in the episode "Homecoming." Thus, according to this logic, I think that Future Peter will have the scar right up until the point when Present Peter heals from it. If Present Peter isn't able to heal from the scar, then the scar won't go away for F. Peter. If he does heal, it will go away. That's what I think
Peter (whether Present or Future Peter) definitely has healing - there's no doubt about that - which means that something has to turn the healing off for him to actually get the scar.
what if peter (or angela for that matter) WANT himself to get the scar..knowing about the body snatching guy...meaning...if theres a moment with TWO peters..the only way to tell the present from future is the scar (we know that already BUT...what if PETER inflicts it...as a precaution or something?) like..

That's a great thought, Def... the only issue I have is that healing may be involuntary, at which point Peter would have no choice but to heal. Unless, of course, The Haitian was around.
Or, UNLESS
Peter accidentally uses The Haitian's power on himself (after getting wounded) and doesn't realize it. He might just think something's wrong with his healing power and that it's not working (like when Hiro didn't know why his weren't working from in the middle of S1) when Peter should really be thinking, "Hey, maybe I absorbed an ability that suppresses my other abilities."
I haven't seen this thread before. I think there are a lot of good ideas. I think somehow there is a paradox that we haven't yet figured out. Future Peter from somewhere in 5 years gone takes up Future Hiros' endeavor of trying to figure out how to "alter time". He can't consult with Future Hiro anymore because future Hiro was killed. Perhaps, Future Peter goes back to the point "before" time gets altered and has been trying to figure out how to survive his own timeline? Either way, Future Peter has the scar because in his reality, he never gained Claires ability until later. I believe this is a simple explanation but the most logical. He earned the scar before acquiring Claires ability. (Just my Opinion...)

he gains an ability inthe future that can damage even healers and has to disable himself and he knows the only way to do it is to usethis ability on his past self......that would be brilliantly funny and ironic lol

What if F. Peter uses The Haitian's ability on Present Peter while they're fighting. P. Peter doesn't realize it, and he can't heal from his facial wound. That could work...
that would also be good as hed then know that e has the hatians ability........and could use it himself........and could of course kick sylars arse all over the place:D

Maybe Peter gets Niki/Jessica split personality type power, where he would change to another person or himself before his powers and while he's changed has a fight with someone and gets the scar, then changes back so he can't heal himself because the body has already healed itself...
hmm its a good theory but the thing is is that the healing power is in his blood as well as his brain and that would automatically heal him

nah, he prolly means the one where we see the scar appear, and its more like peter is using illusion cuz he kinda...smiles/doesnt really look surprised its happening
just seen an interesting theory online......its not the same future that hiro traveled back in time frm therefore he maynot actually get the scar.
however that would then mean that peter/hiro do actually exist outside of time. sort olike thy can remember the other timeline but alsohae the memories of the "new" future that would be a clever way of getting round the pardox that would be created would it not?
