No problem! Did you get to watch last nights episode? It was, I THINK, the best this season!! It answered some questions, and of corse brought a lot more up!! wave

The Haitian & Peter were definitely in close proximity last night, so without question Peter now has his ability...which, ultimately means that no other hero can use their powers around Peter now (as we saw, haitian can stop ANY power, which does not explain why Nathan could fly last year), so now, Elle is harmless, as is Syler, as is anyone in a battle with Super Pete...so basically, Peter is now an unstoppable God. Bummer, that is just too much.

I'm sure he could've but why didn't HRG question him then if he could stop all powers? Wouldn't it be obvious he let Nathan escaped? Like I said, we know he can stop some powers, but I haven't seen anything yet to show that he can stop "all" powers.

I don't think Peter has the haitain's power. Since Peter can't use any power around him, how would he be able to use his absorbing ability?

And can they please give the haitain an actual name?

We saw at the end of last season that Peter was really coming on strong with his abilities and his vision of being a hero. It really bothers me that they made his such a wuss last night. Why the hell would he knowingly just allow himself to be caged, without knowing whether his heroic brother survived? Why would he take power suppressing pills? I get why Nikki the psycho loser would, but Peter was the man and just wussed out. And why did he run from Elle rather than fight? And come to think of it, why did Elle's powers work around The haitian when the others didn't? Sad

) power is active, not passive. By that I mean that he can choose whether to use it or not. So he can prevent people from using their powers, but he doesn't necessarily have to do so. Therefore, assuming Peter was able to absorb it (i.e. the ol' Marty didn't block Pete's absorbing ability while he was close to him), he would be able to turn it on and off as well.

Also, I don't think that Martin would block his own abilities, as he seems to be able to suppress others' powers and mess with their heads at the same time. So if Peter did get his abilities, he might still be able to use his own powers while cancelling those of others - or at least Marty's mind-munching power (and possibly other brain-based things)?

Anyway, enough of my babbling on this topic.
(And if the Haitian's name turns out to be Martin, somebody call Bob and schedule a meeting with him for me- or at least hook me up with an art studio!)

I agree, I think that "Marty" can use his blocking power, if he wants to and he doesnt have to always use it! I also think that he willingly let Peter absorb his ability, he obviously wants Peter to succeed, he said that Peter would be our only hope/chance, I dont remember exactly what he said!

I think the Haitian's ability is more like Matt/Maury/Candice/Eden's in that he can control many aspects of the mind (can erase memories and shut off sections temporarily like power use section) He might actually be a nightmare man of sorts, although it's unlikely because the OWI would have found those abilities by now. It's more likely he has one of those powers that can be included in other powers (best example is peter having everyone's ability, but also Hiro has "super speed" Charlie could eventually get her power close to Monica's, but not the other way around.) And he can block specific powers b/c Peter couldn't use TK but Elle could use Electricity(although it could have been the drugs, who knows.)
