I wonder why his power only shows up when he's high? Maybe it releases his inhibitions or maybe it fundamentally changes his brain?

Who are you referring to? Issaac? I am not sure why he is only able to paint the future when he is high. I am sure that you are on to something with the reducing of his inhibitions or something like that.

Yeah, but, not a very good message for the kiddies. Maybe they are just trying to point out that you really wouldn't have control over youe powers at first, anyway. Maybe he will want to develop his skills to work when he is sober adn this could be an interesting story line, to see this struggle and if he will stop getting high becasue of it. Or maybe it makes sense with this character because, if he would need to get high in his everyday life, why wouldn't he need it for his powers?

I bet he thinks he has to be high for it to work. I bet the gift is there and he is relying on the drugs. Wasnt he already a user?

That's true. Or maybe the drugs tap into the part of his brain that he wouldn't usually utilize.

I was thinking that He shoots up becuase thats the way he first got these "visions". But the point is, i think Isaac's ability is being controlled by someone else. Becuase how is it he is seeing stuff WE(read:the viewers) eventually see...but can't like, see the future lotto numbers.

Okay..if he is being controlled by someone else...who's doing the controlling? That's eerie....I believe he is the straw that stirs the soda here. He and Hiro. When the show first came on, Isaac, Hiro, and Petey were the first to be seen. They have the most influence. If you notice when Petey was in the hospital...he had preminitions (spelling) and was drawing the future. He absorbed Isaac's power AND he absorbed his brother Nates ability to fly once confronted. AND Isaac is the one Hiro came to at the end of this ep. Isaac definately has something to do with something. Comments? Oh...and DJ....be nice to newbies kid.....we're all Heroes here. Smile

I don't know about being controlled by an outsider, but the drugs thing I think is just the fact that he was already a user. An addict can't function without his fix, therefore his powers wouldn't fuction without his fix either.

This is a good question, though last night it was cool to see the white eyes while he painted. I am thinking that he probably hasn't realized he can paint the future when he's not fried on drugs -- it is a family show, kinda. Well sort of, well -- no bloodier than CSI!
