This novel shows us the details of what happened with Micah at school and how he got his bruised eye. Micah is in computer class and everyone's computer displays a picture of Niki in prison garb being labeled a killer. Micah uses his power to discover that a classmate, Frank, has pulled the prank. Micah confronts Frank and gets punched. Micah kicks Frank in a sensitive area and escapes to a junkyard where he uses his power on an old electrial sign to scare Frank and his buddy.

There is an Easter Egg picture of Hiro holding the katana at the museum.

I hope that Micah learns from Nikki that the physical hit, while immediately satisfying, may cause problems later on (especially if a teacher saw the kick). I also wonder what Nikki will do about Micah's method of getting cash from ATM's. But then, will Nikki be able to say anything since it seems that Jessica is now in control of the body? club

I loved how Micah, once he had gained the upperhand, used his power to frighten the bully instead of getting into a bigger physical fight. I think that definately goes to show that he's too intelligent to let them get to him. And did I ever mention that Micah rocks? I would so want his power lol.

Micah is clearly brilliant and, in some ways, emotionally more mature than D.L. Smile

I get the feeling D.L. would have simply cleaned the school yard with the other boys' bodies or reached into their bodies to selectively remove body parts to stop them from injuring him. eek

It was interesting that Micah decided to steal from the ATM machines to get enough money to pay for household bills rather than sit around waiting for D.L. to come up with an idea. chess
