i am 34 and a waitress what a thankless job that is haha

this is the first show that i ever gotten into besides V but i preteen then so we didn't really have the internet then just mtv haha

Hello---V was great. It was really the first time that someone used the idea of aliens disguising themselves to blend in with the human population.

V! YES! *squee* Didn't it start out as a TV movie or a TV mini series, then TV movies, THEN a series?

It was so cool. At first you thought, wow, good aliens for a change. And you got to discover with the characters ZOMG eek

they are not as they seem!

It had good production values for a show (especially for the 80s!) and characters you could follow. It could get a bit cheesy, but it was all in good fun and it kept you coming back for more. It was different too! I wish I could have watched it more, so a DVD of the show would be most awesome! I mean the ENTIRE series!
They do have some. V, V: THe Final Battle, and V: The Series, is that all of them tho?

Also, the idiots put this show alongside Dallas! #_# That is why I missed the show later, the rest of my family insisted on watching Dallas and we only had one TV. *sigh*

Hey, I'm 37, so I recall MTV! When it had music videos, anybody remember that? Now it did have some interesting additions (animation, the first few Real World/the other one, that silly game show) but, DUDE! MTV is about music videos first off and now it's all this .... CRAP! *grumbles so much his dentures pop out* haha!

In short, V was a surprise! Many shows were before it, and many have come after it, but V did it right! It was a surprise for television.

And, it was ALSO on NBC! yAy for NBC!!!

The Others

I hated the movie and TV series Alien Nation though *shudders* I am not sure why

Funny story...

V episode 1... I was 9 years old me and my sister were all fired up about this show we were allowed to have a friend sleep over to watch the premier.

My mother comes in and we are all gathered around the TV and its just starting and the opening was a TV news broadcast that Aliens had invaded earth! Well my mother, love her as I do, was oblivious to this being a TV show and was Shushing us everytime we tried to tell her it was fake. Needless to say when the opening credits started rolling we all laughed at her, good thing she has a sence of humor.

But no didn't V start out as a mini series then since it was such a hit it went to a weekly show?

OMG remember the alien twins! That story line rocked!
