Just curious why it appeared that Linderman was sending the painting to Nathan, but then he told Peter that he couldn't get it.

Is it simply the getting Peter really disappointed and then when the painting does show up, he's so excited that he's willing to make serious concessions to Nathan trick?

I think Nathan is up to no good. I wonder if he will either try to bribe Peter with the painting (to make Peter agree to something), or he will try and figure out on his own why the painting is so valuable. I am guessing Nathan thinks it is valuable, and will try to get something out of it for himself.

This might need to be moved to Spoilers, since we are discussing what *might* happen....

Maybe Nathan will try to use it as a bargaining tool so that Peter will stay away from him and his campain. I mean since the show began Peter has been a thorn in Nathan's side. This could be the thing that will let them seperate.
