I thought they'd make us wait a LOT longer before giving us Bennet's first name, if they ever did. But it doesn't change much.

I think I've finally found someone who dislikes Linderman MORE than I do.
I always thought Linderman might have been willing to (as Sylar put it) "turn against his own kind" to gain power or make himself a "humanitarian." It's just too unlikely for everyone to have all warm fuzzy feelings about people with special abilities after one destroys NYC. Either that, or he was too clueless to predict it.
Linderman was planning to use the disaster to make Nathan a popular politician, ultimately leading to Nathan being a president whom Linderman could control. ("Hey Nathan, try to take some of the teeth out of these organized-crime laws - or at least get the FBI to lighten up on me.") |

I had a very strong feeling that his first name would be a biblical name. I've noticed that most of the male characters on the show have names that come from the bible.
He's now gotta build a boat before the slaughter of the specials and take two people with each power, one male, one female. |

Totally agree pay... Although there is one that I hate more than Linderman... Ma Patrelli, I think she's even worse than he is (I think it will be revealed that Pa patrelli didn't commit suicide, he was knocked of by ma patrelli)... She's a cold harded... (Insert your own expletive) |

Somewhere around here (I think in the thread about what do we think Nathan's father's ability was), I wrote something similar - that Angela helped or allowed Linderman to kill her husband when he didn't go along with this master plan. It might even have been her idea. Well, since Angela and Linderman don't seem like the type to get their hands dirty, I guess Linderman provided the hit man and Angela ensured an opportunity and left the doors unlocked. Moreover, she didn't have a problem with letting Peter explode. She might have been keeping tabs on Claire so that her power would be available to Peter, but that's not for sure. (I think she has something else in mind for Claire.) She had no regard at all for what it would do to Peter psychologically.
What was this thread about again? Oh yeah, Noah Bennett. There's another reason I don't like Angela. "You're not her father, you're someone we gave her to to take care of her." Bennett is Claire's real father. Nathan's trying, but he hasn't had the lifetime involvement, and he may not prioritize her as highly in his life. Nathan will never compare to Bennett as a father. |

In the comics, we learn that Linderman realises healing one person at a time is useless, and you need to stop the people getting harmed in the first place.
Linderman obviously saw the inevitable explosion as an ultimately good thing, the lesser of two evils.
I guess we will find what the greater evil was in the next series. (The Boogieman II possibly, the one that didn't die in the explosion, or maybe just plain Sylar)
Maybe the future Linderman saw was a world where after his death and the showdown at the red steps to nowhere, the "Linderman act" was brought in and the specials get the raw end of the deal.
Seeing the opportunity to fix the problem, he decides the bomb will be a good way to solve the problem - all the specials involved get wiped out, and the rest of the specials lead normal lives.
However, being fallable and not knowing the complete picture, his future does not change the end result and actually makes things worse.
*shrug*
