It's a good power - she could become a professional dancer (by watching others), or an amazing actor (mimicking emotions), or the worlds best athlete. The options are endless.
Duno about the practical uses as far as saving the world is concerned, but it's pretty cool.
If I were her, I'd watch loads of videos of professional ‘free runners’ - those French dudes who use urban structures as obstacle courses (roofs, fences, etc). If you’ve ever seen District 13, you’ll know what I mean. Oooh! And I’d get straight on the Jackie Chan movies! RAWR!
I think she actually might have one of the coolest abilities! Being able to learn skills that quickly could certainly come in handy when trying to save the world, if she aquires enough skills.
I don't want to automatically assume you guys are old school comics nerds like me .. but she basically is The Taskmaster.
Thank you Waylan! I've been trying to remember his name all morning, and was too lazy to Google it. Taskmaster was one of the more interesting Marvel characters, ability-wise. His skills are amazing, but he's technically never better than anyone else, he just matches them. Must be frustrating (if you have an ego).
If I had the power, I'd start watching the Urban acrobatics tapes Squeaker suggested, and a bunch of martial arts and UFC films. Then I'd watch something to actually make some money, like professional painters, dancers, musicians, whatever.
If she wants a low profile, simple street juggling would do. For the big bucks, she should watch professional sports. Although sadly women don't make nearly that much in sports.
I wonder how far her ability extends? Can she mimicking professional singers? What if she watches "impossible" moves, like Matrix movies. Those moves are humanly impossible, so I assume she couldn't mimic them. How about feats of strength? She seemed strong enough to do the crazy WWF move she did last night, with enough leverage and momentum. What about watching an NBA guy dunk the ball? Does she have the physical leg strength to mimic?
Good questions! I was wondering that as well (what her limits will be). If she sees Nathan or West fly, will she then be able to fly as well? I wouldn't think so, but you never know. I think she has an ability similar to that of Charlie from season 1.
I don’t think so. I think it’s just muscle memory. Her capabilities don’t extend to those superhuman abilities (I think – tho who can say at this point?).

She ought to watch some of those Human Weapon shows on TV... she's be on bad mama! I wonder how long she can retain this stuff? Monica has made Micah's storyline much more interesting.
Maybe she'll start a mercenary ring and sell them out to the Comapany. Now that would be just like the Taskmaster.
Photographic abilities are limited by the body. Taskmaster could duplicate the moves of Spiderman but without his strength he was more limited. I'm pretty certain he was a better archer than Hawkeye though.
I dont think anyone has said that when we see her before she does stuff or when she was with Micah, she seemed to have a backround sound like the workings of a mechanical toy/robot.....theres GOT to be a reason for that but i haven't made any wild guesses at why
For the same reason that we hear a clock ticking in the background whenever Sylar uses his ability.
It's just to let you know that her ability is kicking in, and at some point she's going to be using what she's absorbed.
If they were to put in these bright white subtitles "She's using her power!", it'd be a bit too obvious, so they're using audio clues for some things..
Quite true, it's been a theme through the Heroes series.
It seems like her power will be useful, but only to an extent. She can only copy regular abilities as far as we can see, super human abilities usually require some kind of physical absorption of powers since it's all genetic. Still, Peter is a bit of a gray area there, but he has a power that allows him to use other powers where she does not. She can only copy actions, so I don't think that extends to powers.
