I'm confused as to WHEN he died. And why Mohinder went to NYC, and found his apt. as if he left to the store....

This was all addressed mostly in the pilot. If you missed it there is a link from the front page to another site where you can watch it, it's quite good. The pilot was what got me hooked to this show.

If I remember correctly, some of it is also addressed in the online graphic novel.

Was this explained in the first couple of episodes? If so I would not know, I missed those two and can never seem to see it, even the reruns on scifi, so I am checking online.

I was watching Heroes last night with my friend, and I did notice something that may back up the theory that Mohinder's father is still alive. In the first or second episode, on the back of the dustjacket of Mohinder's fathers book, there is a picture of his father. In last nights episode, they flashed the same bookcover, however this time, there was someone elses picture on it. It really stoood out to me, does anyone have any screencaps? Unfortunately I dont have the first ep saved on my DVR anymore....

I think Mohinder's father is either still alive and perhaps held captive somewhere or.....they will be having some flashbacks to when his father was alive. Otherwise why would they have this actor's picture on the book and why would he be listed for 3 episodes?

I think what happened is they recast the role. They are going to have a flashback episode or Hiro will be going back in time to visit Chandra in an episode soon that goes back about 6 months. I read that somewhere... not sure if I remember where tho..
