SO, I am surprised nobody has brought this up yet.

In two episodes so far this season, Micah is seen reading the "9th Wonders" comic book.

As we all know, the late, great comic artist Isaac Mendez, killed by Sylar was the artist that drew and self-published "9th Wonders". In the past, we've seen "9th Wonders" predict Hiro's trip to NYC where he saw the explosion and started the epic journey to prevent it, as well as Hiro coming into possession of Isaac Mendez's LAST UNPUBLISHED issue (#15?) that showed how to stop SYLAR.

We've also seen Micah reading "9th Wonders" last year repeatedly. At the school, while his mother was arguing about tuition, when his father returns from jail, etc.

This year, Micah has TWO issues of "9th Wonders". According to the Heroes Wiki, these issues are older than the one Hiro saw when he traveled to the Future NY:

http://heroeswiki.com/9th_Wonders!

So how do we reconcile, these facts with the death of Isaac Mendez. Why is Micah Carrying around old issues of the comic? Or are they? And if they are the current issue, then how did Hiro come across Issue # 14 (his trip to NY) if by this time Isaac was dead?

Man, my head is hurting with all the questions. Is there anything to this, or am I looking for clues in the wrong place?

No Herc you are totally RIGHT!

and it is sad, because NBC was amazed that Heroes was one of there #1 shows last year, and they are back...for a bang.?..hmm?

The writers really need to watch what they are doing. Someone had to write in the script "scene- Micah reading 9th wonders.....and Micah reading 9th wonders".

they need to explain how 9th wonders still plays into this (if anything).

Isaac stopped Sylar (in the future)..using 9th wonders (iss#16)..wheer MOH shows present Hiro how he is supposed to help him. And that whole scene was mind boggling. Issac (in present) mailed YEP mailed that issue for publication....Yet in the future MOH picks up the draft from Isaacs loft. {what happened was it RETURNED TO SENDER?]

None, the less I think the writers are trying to tell us that 9th Wonders is still running, maybe with a different artist...to Justify the issue Isaac created for the future.

One thing is for certain...I miss ISAAC...he added some realism to the show. Drugs then cold turkey, then DRUGS again. Always wanting the fix, until he came clean.

(sorry to get off topic here)

I was hoping WE would learn that there were 9 paintings...and not 8.

A mission for Hiro or Peter to travel into the past.... to the loft (once again) and find Isaac doing the 9th painting. Not to disrupt time..and Isaac could agree that his destiny w sylar was coming. But to see what the 9th painting was about, or who it was about.

How COOL would that be to see Isaac again, and with the LAST piece of the puzzle (if there were 9 paintings).

I had thought about that. Maybe the Company owns the publishing company. There are other "artists" out there as was pointed out by Linderman last season. There was also the messenger that Isaac gave his sketchbook to before he got popped. I remember last year thinking that this season they would try to track him down because maybe he had something valuable in his sketchbook but I guess he had the other paintings hidden away. But very ironic that even his 9th Wonder had a superhero that was exactly like his cousin. Must be another precog artist.

Herc et al. Keep in mind that when Micah showed Monica the 9th Wonders comic showing a superhero named "St. Joan" with muscle memory powers, it was Vol. 12, so it predated the Hiro in New York issue and, presumably, was drawn by Issac before he died but after he manifested. My strong supposition is that Isaac painted the future and that Monica is going to become our St. Joan. Note that the original St. Joan haled from Orleans in France, so that paralellism to a woman saving New Orleans is near-perfect.

Putting that aside, I'm curious to find out whether any other heretofore unpublished 9th Wonders comics exist. Rob

The question is WHY is Micah reading those old comics?

Is it just symbolism, just something necessary -- as in when they showed his cake on his birthday? Or when they showed the St. Joan of New Orleans?

OR is it something else?

That's what got me thinking...

I know they are old issues. The other thing that still gets me. Hiro's issue # 14 in NYC. Does that ever get published now since events have been changed? How about the next and last one? Who has that one?

So many questions!
