In the last episode Bob said that his power extended to do with anything that has anything to do with the brain. So by looking at someone you can tell their nerves to cause major pain or stop their heart. Mat has become alot more dangerous, from reading minds to killing with a look Razz

Matt & Maury probably don't even need to "see" their target, just sense them with their minds.

If Matt can lock his dad up in a nightmare, I would assume it is basically the same power. With Maury out of the picture, I would have wonder if Adam will target Matt as his new weapon or if that is one more reason Adam wants Peter since Peter absorbed Matt's power.

I'd like to officially welcome Matt to the Dark Side. His manipulation of poor little Molly was bad enough, but what he did to Angela Petrelli put him past the turning around point. When that scene ended, I was thinking to myself, "Surely, he won't do it. After all his daddy angst, and she says that?? No way." Then later we see he got his name. cry

One question this did raise for me was, why didn't we see this kind of manipulation in "Five Years Gone"? Yes, this was/is a now-defunct reality or whatever, but wouldn't he have naturally progressed? The power Matt possesses has gone, for me, from one of the lesser of the abilities seen to one of the most powerful. Matt has become a dangerous man; he should never have been exposed to his father. I can almost see an HRG-style future for him, should the "Company" wish to reestablish it's hold on the Walker Tracking System, a.k.a. Molly. Only Matt wouldn't be so chump.

P.S.: Ya gotta give it to the old girl; Mrs. Petrelli fought Matt with all her might. If she got a nosebleed from what we saw her tell Matt, what'd getting that name out of her do?

I don't think he's past the point of no return just yet. He could come around - realise that he's starting to act/think just like his old man. Maybe he'll do something to hurt Molly (emotionally if not physically) and it will wake him up from his delusions of grandeur.

Maybe he'll realise what Peter Parker figured out in Spiderman 3:

"Every hero has a choice."

Anyway, I agree that his ability is quite powerful. I think that as they develop, we'll start to see that many of these people are quite powerful - maybe far more so than we would have imagined. Maybe even Dale Smither and her headache-inducing super ears would have gotten to a point where we would say: "Woah, she can do some powerful stuff with that!" You know? Just maybe!

I don´t think so because,remember when he was in the bar with the Haitan. He couldn´t read his mind so i think he cant manipulate the Haitan!

Angela can guard herself to some extent, and the Haitian's power would make it even easier. That was funny and scary when Matt was like:"Molly, you will eat your cereal now" lol

I dunno about Matt vs. The Hatian part Deux . . . that could actually shape up to being a rather intense battle of the minds, since Matt's learning that his power is more than just hearing thoughts. I'm thinking he might be able to block the Hatian's mental attack, even the power suppression if he had advance warning.
