Kyrtox

Several witnesses have told reporters the same tale; all enjoying their evening activities peacefully in their homes, when everything went dark.
All of them assumed it was a power-outage. Many found their appliances still functional, but they could neither see nor hear them. Candles were lit and gave off heat, but no light.
Local authorities were not available for a statement regarding their take on the event, but many local religious groups have reportedly taken it as an act of god.
The event has caused quite a stir in the community as more and more people insist that it is a sign of the apocalypse.

didn't I take a medication called Kyrtox
sometime back in the mid eighties?
It was either a cream or an ointment.

Well, maybe it's because of my fondness for sweets, but Kyrtox to me sounds awfully close to Hydrox, which is one good cookie, even if Oreo did steal the idea!
