Tonight's episode only further supported your theory Reko, and my belief that the little girl could indeed be claire. Look who's shadow it is that is cast over Claire, and look who Peter paints - the cheerleader in a pool of blood. The shadow is that of THE MAN WITH THE HAT. We have yet to find out if this is Sylar (there's a good chance that it is) but we can see that the man with the hat is after Claire and kills her. Now, wasn't the man with the hat also after the little girl. Thus, the little girl could indeed be Claire in the past (the past of the "present). The theory that HRG found her and wiped her memory of her parents, her name, and of the man that tried to kidnap her a VERY FEASIBLE ONE. Think about this: Claire is looking for her parents who she has never heard from nor known about, the little girl's parents were killed by a man in a hat who also tries to kidnap the little girl, and now, the man with the hat is the shadow that hovers over Claire. Coincidence? Mayyyyyybe not.
Going baco to HRG, my friend and I were discussing it, and we think he is portrayed as more evil than he really is. After all, he gave the quarterback a second chance by having Voodoo guy erase his memory. And get this, his memory erasing technique is powerful enough for someone to FORGET THEIR NAME (the quarter back says, "Why do you keep calling me Brody"). I have a feeling that HRG and the Voodoo guy are not our villains
Here's a stretch: I think Peter and the rest will save the world and Voodoo man will erase their memories of what just happened. Now that the world is saved, they need not remember the events, thus allowing them to forget about their powers and go back to their normal lives. And maybe the last scene is of one of them discovering they have powers by accident. It reminds me of Magneto at the end of X-3 when he discovers he still has powers, only in this case the Heroes would not have known about them thank to Voodoo man. That would be a sick ending. Just a theory.

I love the whole idea and I was thinking about that after tonight's episode. But if they discover their powers by accident that would leave them in a sort of loop just leading into another storyline. I can only pray that doens't happen (Even though praying never helps me anyway)

If this is the case... my only hope is that he hasn't been wearing the same hat for all these years. That's just gross... lol.

**WARNING, POSSIBLE SEASON ENDING THEORIES FOLLOW**
This is in line with my theories. The indicator for me watching the theory that the little girl is Claire ... is that Matt (cop) has not been introduced to any other characters (other than HRG and Voodoo, and Baseball Cap char...who all could be questionably time traveling from the future).
So, yes, I think it is plausible that the little girl is Claire, AND that Peter could be Sylar. AND, if Sylar has obtained all powers, then he could time travel. Also meaning that the hat is not old, gross, and stinky...just being seen in many different time sequences ...and perhaps covering Peter's/Sylar's bald head & scar =-O
I am also in agreement with HRG and Voodoo being good, or at least, organizers of the heroes to defeat Sylar. I, further believe that he keeps telling Claire to trust him, because without her voluntary trust, Voodoo cannot tap into her (because her powers have matured), as he has done many times since she was a child and do whatever it is he does to manipulate (help) the Heroes.
**sidenote on the Peter/Sylar theory* I am trying to think of any instance that Peter and Sylar are together, thusfar. ANyone?
-- because MY THEORY is ... Dr. Suresh was training Peter in his powers, and Peter was becoming Sylar...and HRG/Voodoo intervened and wiped Peter, with Dr. Suresh getting (supposedly) killed somehow in the process.
This is why Peter has been continually asking himself and stating.."Do you ever feel like you are meant to do something more/special?" ...because he knows/remembers a little...as if, Voodoo didn't wipe it all. Now Peter is slowly gathering an understanding of his powers again, and may turn into Sylar again, unless HRG and Voodoo do not organize the Heroes in time.
Lastly, IF aforementioned theories are true, who is Matt the cop in the future, and why would Voodoo need to wipe his memory of the kidnap attempt?? Is it possible that Matt is HRG, and has developed his mind reading abilities to search out the Heroes (mutants) like Professor X can??? I know, they were in the same room together and all that time continum, no duelality of existence of one entity thing, but all theory at this point anyway...Well, cant wait for next week@!

Follow plz .. Under the theory that Matt is from a time period approx. 12 years in the past, that yeilds 4 time travelers total. Hiro, Baseball cap char (aka Peter/Sylar), HRG, and Voodoo.
-Hiro (obvious)
-Baseball cap char seen with Matt, trying to capture girl (believed to be young Claire)
-HRG & Voodoo also seen with Matt, assumed the same 12 yrs prior.
* It is my theory that HRG has mind abilities (telepathy and others; like Professor X), and this is how he locates the Heroes...that is why I think he might be Matt. He took Claire after rescuing her, and began to strengthen his powers, eventually tracks down Voodoo...they become a team. Again, unsure why HRG would come back and erase part of his own memory though.

I dont believe that Matt is in the Past and that Claire is the little girl. It causes a lot of problems for the audience to take in. I do believe that Matt has a lot more to play and there will be a reason he hasn't met the others yet.
I am sadly aware of the low median IQ of the general public, but I would hope that NBC would produce something more exciting than the sorely & simply obvious.
Also, I am glad Popkorn, Reko, and others put the effort into making these forums interesting...just to have people comment "that causes a lot of problems".... *cough cough* sarcasm*cough*
Provide us a more plausible, simple, easy-to-follow theory? Anyone over the age of 3 can just standby and disagree with everything. Use some cognitive reasoning, critical thinking, debate what problems this causes...
