Yeah, I doubt we'll get so see him for some time, so he'll remain a mysterious force in the background, but I just really want to see him. I can want what I can't have. It just won't get me anywhere.
WELL...IF>..Linderman and HRG are the same person, yeah, they(he) is involved with nearly all the specials. Just a theory that was discussed in last night's "LIVE EPISODE CHAT" << (Pretty sweet, more should check it ooout).
I don't think that they are the same person because in the casino episode he talked with the lady in charge about Linderman.
Crap I forgot to say that I to owe Linderman a small amount for a bet gone sour. Not much just .......................400,000 over a game of golf. Mini golf that is. Please dont tell him I was here.
I'm pretty sure that Bennet is going to turrn out to work for Linderman. Bennet looks to me like middle management.
I do think that Linderman is probably the money behind Bennet, tho we don't yet know what Linderman's ioterest is. We can be sure it's not benevolent.
I think Sylar is unrelated to Lindreman, probably a free agent. It would wrap up too many plot lines at once. Kring must be having a great time plotting this thing.
One thing caught my attention when rewatching some of the pilot. When Mohinder is in his father's apt. HRG gets a phone call and sounds like he's reporting in somewhere. He tells them to "Send in a team to bag and tag everything." Makes it sound like he's working for either a government agency (my perfered theory for no real reason) or some organization large enough to have a bagging and tagging team. If he is working with an organization/agency that large, then I doubt he's really in charge. The big cheese don't do field assignments. I still don't think he's working for Linderman. Their org's seem to have different motives, and means.
Linderman is the mob boss right?
His presence is just too great in too many characters lives to be mere coincidence.
Now that he owns the missing painting and refuses to sell it I am convinced he is involved somehow.
What lengths will Peter go to obtain this painting or to see it, he seems utterly convinced it is vital to saving the world.
I think this desire to see or take the painting will reveal Linderman's secrets.
Or I could be wrong and Linderman is a really nice guy who just likes art.
I think Linderman agreed to sell the painting to Nathan, but Nathan is going to hold onto it himself. Nathan knows that Linderman wanted it, and now Peter wants it. He might just wonder how valuable this painting is, and will snag it himself.
I agree, though that Linderman is going to have a bigger role. He is wrapped up in so many characters!
In the phone conversation, I had thought Linderman said yes (by Nathan's response), and then when he told Peter he didn't get it, I thought it was odd. You might have something.
I could see where Nathan is merely trying to protect his own vision of the world by also sheltering his brother from these influences (a self-martyring act to insulate what he views as "pure" (his family) from (Linderman/the world) that which is corrupt). Never underestimate the power of the self-preservation instinct.
I had a new thought. Maybe Nathan is making sure Peter doesn't get the painting by having it be put somewhere where Peter will never get at it. He wants Peter to drop all this nonsense about saving the world. Linderman will do as many favors as he can. More to collect on later.
i think that if Linderman were Sylar, that Niki would have been killed before now. They are in very close geographically and we know that the 2 characters are aware of each other as Niki borrowed money from Linderman.

We all know that Nathan is not a nice man. (Mom Petrelli is no angel either.) I think he's got some scheme to cool Peter's jets on the picture thing, which of course is a way to put the cheerleader in more danger. We'll see what happens tonight.
I for one am ready for at least one or two plot points to be resolved.
And Linderman can't be Sylar. Linderman is relatively public, and Sylar can't be public. Lindeman owns stuff, and just doesn't fit the profile of the disenfranchised crazy that is being painted. Sylar is psychotic and Linderman tho a criminal is not psychotic, just very nasty. People who own stuff are rarely serial killers.
What if Linderman were a time-stranded traveller from a post-apocalyptic future (example: from near future transported to 30-years in the past, a reasonable time-frame where his mannerisms/vocabulary would not be deemed TOO weird) who has "burned out" or maybe doesn't possess power(s) himself... He has used a little knowledge to manipulate events to his liking. Altering history wouldn't even bother him since anything would be better than what he might have lived through, or he might be so unprincipled as to not care.
