Contains SPOILERS:

Jericho Fans To CBS: 'Nuts!'

Fans of CBS' recently canceled post-apocalyptic series Jericho continue
to inundate network offices with shipments of peanuts, an allusion to a
bit of dialogue from the final episode. The shipments have amounted to
three tons of nuts so far, the New Jersey Star-Ledger newspaper reported.

The campaign is intended to persuade CBS either to revive the show,
about the aftermath of a nuclear attack, or somehow wrap up the show's
storyline, which ended this month with a cliffhanger.

In that cliffhanger, hero Jake Green (Skeet Ulrich) and his neighbors in
Jericho, Kan., were preparing for war against a neighboring town. Given
an ultimatum to surrender, Green replied "Nuts," echoing a famous World
War II general's response to a similar ultimatum from the Nazis.
(Referring to the:
Battle of Bastogne)

Earlier, CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler acknowledged a flood
of fan e-mails by promising that the network would find a conclusion to
the story somehow.

I hope they don't pull a "Sliders" though, and change the whole cast. IMO that would be worse than this being "another GREAT show that got cancelled while 'Survivor: Simon Cowell' goes into it's 318th season"... mad

good find Herc

I am just afraid they might do a stupid movie of the week, with less than half of the original cast or something, and it won't be any good....

Best, of course, would be if they brought it back as a midseason replacement or something, with at least 80% of the original cast. That would rock. idea

No, the best would be if the decided not to conclude the show, but to bring it back for season 2, full cast included.

... Oh, I agree, I was just talking in terms of having the show cancelled altogether!

But you're right!

In response to your Simon Cowell comment Herc, I don't see how I didn't see Jericho's cancellation comin'...it seems in general American TV lately only the crappy survive...generic played out un-reality tv, spoiled teenage brats, and ridiculously devicive pundit shows are the norm, and largely unseen storylines like a town surviving a nuclear apocolyse disappear. Sorry for the rant, it just drives me nuts...

I got whole peanuts from a grass/feed supplier for nothing because they were rotten which fit MY purposes perfectly. Flat-rate USPS shipping using the provided boxes is very cheap & it is weight irrelevent.

bulkfoods.com ships for free if you spend over $50 (yeah, I don't have that kind of money either Sad )

Shoot! How does flat rate shipping work? And does anyone have CBS's address? I need to get into the action!

Thanks "Blob" and "Destined for Greatness" for the suggestions! I'll do it!

About postage, I'm in Canada so it was more for me because I sent them over the border. It was a big bag too.

In total, peanuts + shipping set me back almost $50, but if it works to get Jericho back on the air, it'll be worth it.
