I'M GOING TO LUNCH WITH THE CAST OF HEROES TOMORROW!!!!

So, long story short-

I'm sure some of you have heard about the essay contest they were having. Basically, you had to submit an essay on a hero in your town, area, neighborhood, etc. Well, my best friend's mother submitted an essay...

AND WON!!

In the rules it said that the winner and her 'hero' would get to go to lunch with one or more members of the cast on the day they are in NYC (Tuesday, August 28th, which is tomorrow), but she sent an email to them asking if she could bring her son, Karl (my best friend), and his friend (me), and they said that wouldn't be a problem, just to give them the names of up to 8 people.

I'm leaving my home on Long Island at about 6am to go to Karl's house in NJ, and we're leaving his place at 7:30am to arrive at NBC by 9. He said they're probably going to do a speech in honor of his mom's friend whom she wrote the essay about, and I'm guessing the press might be taking pictures - I'll try to get in one of them. Regardless, I'll definitely be snapping away every chance I get before and after our lunch.

I am completely freaking out right now. I have so much to do. Shower... put on my "Godsend" tattoo... pick an outfit... what will I say?... what should I do?... MY POPKORN KERNELS ARE OVERHEATING OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

I think I've totally told you this enough times already, but you totally have to post something as soon as you get back. Well...you don't have to, but I'm sure we'd all love you infinitely if you did. Wink

Congrats PK!!

Remember, take your camera, and gets lots of pictures! And just be yourself! Most of the really endearing traits you have come when you're not trying to be someone else, so just relax, unwind, and treat these folks like they're long-distance relatives that you're getting to meet for the first time. I know they'll warm up to you just as quickly as all of us have, no problems!

Oh, try to milk as much info about the new season as you can, without being too obvious about it!

And can you get an autograph from Masi for me? wink

). He told me about this first through Facebook, where we're both mods on a Heroes trivia application. If he's got extras, I'll let ya have them. wink

Anyway, I'll cope. I just really would like to hear any conversation he'd have. I'm sure that aside from drooling all over Hayden and Ali, he'd also be smacking his lips over Missy (if she's there), and trying not to stare at Milo, Zach, or Jack!

But I digress. I wish him the best, and really do hope he gets some really cool news!

Or maybe even his very own copy of the Season 1 DVD set! That would be incredible. Especailly if it's an autographed one! Shocked

Lol. I think I started freaking out more than he did when he told me. I brought my laptop to school just to know first thing when he finally posts something. Because if he doesn't post something today, he'll have my wrath to contend with. Or at least my whining. Which is quite possibly even worse. lol

And I got my DVDs today. Very Happy

But I'm on campus, while they're at home, so I can't look at them. Sad

This weekend, though...MARATHON!

But don't go crawling back under your rock. Rocks aren't full of Heroes awesomeness!

Well, it depends on how big the rock is..

If I decide to crawl under a rock the size of Hoover Dam, well that's just darned impressive!

But realistically, I've got my DVDs today as well, and I'm planning on having a marathon this weekend as well. The wife has to work all weekend, and my friends and family want to come over and have a cookout and Heroesfest, so I'm obliging!

Hope you all have a great weekend, because I know that I'm gonna have one heck of a time! wink

I was supposed to be in NYC today, but things have not turned out the way I expected them to be.

Well, that, and PK's a college student, and a guy!

But I'd sure give it a run for my money!

Lol. You guys have no idea how much of a "raving" fangirl I can be. For the most part, I keep myself in check over here! lol

I nearly fainted when I got the email that my DVDs shipped early. Which would have been funny, considering I was in the middle of Botany class. Shocked

I hope PK posts something soon. I'm getting antsy. How long does the Heroes World Tour event last? I haven't really heard a lot about what they're doing for the tour.
