| Omg I found out I missed the first half of ep 3 One Giant Leap. I watched it on Youtube and i have a few questions. These may have already been asked but why was Sylar trying to get the little girl? Does she have special abilities? |

| don't know hasen't been explained yet about the little girl or her parents... but since her father was the one with the new crew cut, he might of had some type of special power. now your up to take with the rest of us. |

I have been thinking about that scene a lot lately. I would think it's safe to say that yes, the girl, Molly Walker, has abilities (although I don't know what they are) because why else would Sylar actually track her down? Working under the assumption that Sylar is mainly trying to collect powers, I don't think he's going to waste his time with someone who doesn't have any, and he goes after Molly.
My question about this scene is, why doesn't Sylar just kill her? We know how quickly he accomplishes his task - he disposes of both Brian Davis and Jackie very quickly. So why does Sylar try to take her away instead of just killing her?
I'm pretty sure that Sylar has killed people without abilities, for instance Molly's mother, whose brain wasn't taken. Also, Chandra Suresh - Mohinder makes no mention of his brain being taken and he does identify the body. (There's speculation that Chandra isn't really dead, but to me, it seems pretty definitive that he is. But nothing on the show ever seem certain!)
Does the 'harvesting of the brain' take longer to do and therefore Sylar tried to take Molly elsewhere so he could do it? Or is it possible that there's some other reason? Anyone have any idea? |

Not that I can think of. I know that some people think that the Walkers are Claire's birth family but I think that was disproven when HRG tells Isaac about how the Bennetts came across Claire.
And looking at the different maps - the one in Chandra's Indian apartment doesn't have pictures, and apparently neither does the one in Chandra's NYC apartment. So the map that Sylar has in his apartment seems to be the only one that actually has pictures - I don't see any refernce to anyone named Walker.
And after looking at the list of names on the computer, I don't see a Walker on there either. |

That's a very interesting theory. Molly is so young however, the show could absolutely save her in their back pocket to play in future seasons as a Hero.
I don't think it's been confirmed if Dad Walker - who was frozen - was actually the one who had the freezing power (which Sylar then could have taken and used on the guy as practice)... but if he was, say Molly, as an offspring, has an opposite power like fire. I'm not sure that I actually believe this, but who knows with this show!? |

If she was a power booster that would explain why Sylar would take her instead of killing her on the spot. Though I guess he could have taken her brain, and thereby her power, and done it himself...hm, I just contradicted myself...whoops  |
