I have arrived!
So, I have gotten into "Heroes" SO MUCH I registered to be part of this forum! Can you believe it? On top of that, I chose a mythical Hero name as my "handle" (which is actually my father's first name!).
I only really have one problem with Heroes. Too many of the characters have many shades of "grey" to them, and they are not your traditional "good" or "bad" guys. Yet, this does not impact my enjoyment of the show. [/color]
One other thing: The November 13th episode rocked! |

Not only that, but my dad has been my real life HERO all my life. When he was 10 years old, he took supplies to the front (in Europe of course) against the axis powers in WWII. Later he served in the special forces for 5 years. In a particular heroic episode, during exercises and manuevers, he fell in a canyon at a height of over 200 ft. He should have broken his back, neck, whatever -- yet, somehow, he survived unscathed (somebody watching from above, OR Claire like powers?)
At a later point in life he was in Korea, working in some factory, teaching them something or other, when a Korean Martial Arts master challenged my father to an arm wrestling contest (I should say, my dad has always been kind of muscular -- he grew up on a farm and has always worked with his hands). For whatever reason, my dad accepted the arm wrestling challenge. Do you know, that he BEAT the martial arts dude two times in a row, so infuriating him, that he, the master, lost his temper, trying a third time, this time twisting my dad's forearm, and breaking it.
This is why he has always been my HERO! He has been strong, and he has survived things that I do not know that I would have had the strength of will to face. This is what real HEROES are made of!!!
I LOVE THE FORUM. Glad to be a member! |

WoW! what a dad!
You have his DNA and the environment from him, I am sure you are special in your own way!
Real life heroes are cool.
And, I like the gray area, too. That is the hook for me. Real people are usually in gray areas. The bad can do good and the good can do bad! |
