Here is a Thought, What if the HRG and his Voodoo friend are not taking the heroes to make them forget their hero abilities, but to forget that their normal side? To unlock their full potential or their powers? According to the preview for the next episode on Monday Nathan will fly like he has been doing it for a while. He is just up and away... Before that he seemed like he didn't know how to do it he just does it. I know in the comic he save a female, but is that enough practice? And if he knows about Claire why does he not clean her out?

This is a huge what If...

But what if he is a good guy and he is trying to get these guys ready to take on Sylar? Again this is a what if. I know there is a lot of supporting facts to show that he is a bad guy, but what if we are looking at the facts the wrong way? When he has Matt tied down and he says to the VooDoo man to clean him out what if he is cleaning him out of his doubt and uncertainty?

I'm sure this is far fetched, but im board and I need something to talk about until Monday.

The more I think about it the more I try to find myself trying to defend him. I mean from what I have read Matt is going to reappear in this next episode with his wife. That leads me to think that HRG released him. If HRG was working for Syler why did he not kill him??? Questions, Questions, Questions.....

I keep thinking about this too!
I remember when HRG is watching the tape of Claire and ... I forgot what he says but something like "i'm sorry hunny" or "too bad about this" ?
Along the lines; so maybe instead of being sorry for having to kill her, he's sorry about what he has to put her throgh?

In the current preview he says to Claire "You're going to have to trust me." The way he says it seems to convey genuine emotion and caring, which also let me to think perhaps he is actually trying to help and is being portrayed differently to throw the viewers off course. Could also just mean he's a caring dad, or an excellent liar.

Okay, So I am hoping that you caught the Teaser about whats coming in the coming weeks. I want to point out where Claire tells HRG that there are more Heroes than just here. Then It showes HRG and Claire at Isaac's. HRG is saying "Isaac I need your help" Sounds like a good guy to me.....

Maybe HRG is turning on the bad guys because he cannot bring himself to hurt Claire.

I haven't caught the clip with HRG telling Isaac he needs help... But, if I remember correctly, Isaac ends up with his brain removed. Could it be that it's just something he might say to Isaac to get close to him? A whole... take it to read "I need your help to have a new power".

Just a thought.

I'm going to have to say he's good. Kring isn't saying they are born mutants. Maybe some are. Maybe the original were labatory mutants. Maybe This guy is the baby sitter. After all, he did say he works for an organization. Just not one with initials. How else does he get paid traveling all over the world and use it as an excuse to his family that he's working. Maybe he's paid to see how the test rats are doing? That's what it seems like with the cop and his attemp with Peter. It seems he needs stats for "his organization."

To lend credence to this theory it should be noted that he had the opportunity to gun Nathan down, but chose not to. This could be because he needed to use him, but it could also mean that he didn't want to hurt him.
