if you watch the video it really looks like its in japan cause of the banner so if he goes back why would he go back? thats the only thing i wanna know
I just found out that hiro's father (George Takei from the original star trek) comes to america and takes him back to japan, so I would agree with you, the museum could be in Japan...makes sense, hiro will be stealing the sword, and where would you find better swords then japan?
yeah i read he would join the cast but why would he come to america and take hiro?
I dont think we have really been mislead by the paintings, we are making interpretations of what we think they mean, like why is the Mona Lisa smiling? We are posting in a theories thread. PENGUIN, i liked your joke, you did not fail.
Sorry about that, I realized I probably used the wrong word, or phrased it wrong or something. I now agree that we aren't really being misled by the paintings themselves, and that we are making interpretations of what we think they mean, but our interpretations are generally based on the first and most obvious thing we see in the paintings (i.e. Peter can fly, Claire is the dead cheerleader, Peter is dead at 8:12pm at the high school, etc). In this instance, Hiro has a sword in his hand, he is holding it up, and there is a T-Rex next to him. Thus, the most obvious and first-impression interpretation is that, since Hiro can bend space/time, he travels back into the past when when the dinosaurs lived and fights a T-Rex with a sword. I'm not saying that this is right or wrong, because nobody knows yet, aside from our friends who are probably on set right now filming episode 12, lol. All's I'm suggesting is that rather than saying that the past paintings have misled us, I would like to point out that it was actually our first impressions of those past paintings that have misled us, and our first impressions are, like I said, based on the most "obvious" situation that the painting imply. Therefore, I think to interpret the paintings more accurately, we have to stray away from our first impressions of what we think they are showing us. What does everyone think?
It could be a sword that belonged to his family and was loaned to the museum, so Hiro really doesn't think of it as stealing.
Having said all that, I wonder also, if Hiro's family has some other history as well, something militaristic, Japan imperial sort of history, if Hiro's father (to be portrayed by George Takey) is some sort of long lost japanese samurai or prince, maybe a modern yakuza with lots of martial arts background and maybe some special powers of his own,
AND
JUST MAYBE, he does convence Hiro to go back to Japan to train to become what?....
And you know what? After, his failures so far, Hiro (who is after all human first -- that's why I love this SHOW), might just listed to his dad, and say, "why not, he has a point, I'll go back and do what he says, and maybe learn how to control my powers"....
Anyway, this is maybe something I'll post in a new thread.......
the dead cheerleader on the ground was actually Jackie
I belive it was Claire still. Isaac painted the future, Future Hiro came back and set things into motion to change that event. A cheerleader still died, but I'm not in belief that he painted Jackie. I'll have to rewatch to see if they show a scene of Jackie in the manner of his painting. Untill then, I'll think it is Claire.

I like that thought, Byd
so do i considering his dad is this big shot guru type of guy. that we get to see soon.. well not till the new year i think.

I think we can say that if the painting was made before. Jackie admited to being the "hero" then it was claire if the painting was made after Jackie admited to being the "hero" then it is Jackie and not claire..
also I always thought it wasen't claire because the face looks longer then the other picture of claire and the burning hands. (from the train insident i am asuming)
What is this painting of Hiro everyone is talking about? Did I miss it in the most recent episode?
No, this new painting of "Hiro" was in the Canadian preview for "Fallout", which I'm sure there is a link to somewhere in one of these topics. It shows a person holding up a sword with a gigantic T-Rex staring down at him/her. We've assumed that it must be Hiro, because Tim Kring has said that Hiro will be getting a sword and that it will play a big role in this season. Considering that 1/2 of the season is over, Hiro must be obtaining the sword pretty soon.

The heros promo on youtube got yanked...probably no premission or somesuch but my avatar is the painting...as soon as i put the screen caps i got to make it on photobucket i'll put up a link...
I think thats gonna be soo cool when he gets the sword i cant wait to see him use it and in one of the episodes he saids something about he was afraid of using his powers and goin to far back and being luch for a trex which i think could be some forshadowing on events to come
on 'Hiros blog' He refers to the future hiros sword. saying he may call it 'Masamune'. And so the sword may in fact be one of Masamunes swords; considered to be some of the best ever created.
Just for extra freakiness... the blog was posted three days AFTER I Created my username for this site!
