I really love how they handled the subtitles on the Japanize scenes and the NY scenes. Usually you see the Networks dumb down accents or dialog but you still get a nice feel for who Hiro is and done tfeel its an American playing at being a Japanize.
I would love to hear if they have the Japan scenes right. I heard a few people crying it was sterotypying and sadly i wouldnt know.
Masayori "Masi" Oka, is an American actor and digital effects artist. He has performed in many films and TV shows, and is currently cast in the role of Hiro Nakamura in the NBC series Heroes. He is also filming his new movie Balls of Fury, which is scheduled to be released in 2007. He graduated with an Sc.B. from Brown University in 1997.

HAHA good for him! I like his earnest attitude and honest character. The actor is doing a great job!
He seems like a genuinely nice fellow, which makes the character even more likeable. Since this show likes to create controversy I suspect they will probably kill off Hiro's character at some point, just to stir things up.
On the NBC site, it says that he was born in Japan, and moved to the US when he was six. It also says that he is fluent in Japanese. I only speak a little, but from what I can understand, it matches the subtitles.
If they kill off anyone, it will be his friend. That gives more to the characters motive since he's the one that drug his friend into in the first place.
Am I wrong, or are they setting this up to take place in just five weeks time?

At least the first portion of it (up to the nuke) might be. Most new shows have a limited release at first, due to limited budgets and such. Not a huge investment if the show tanks.
I love the fact that they show him from the future speaking perfect english like he learned a lot traveling through time. He actually looks like a hero with the sword and all. That is awesome. He obviously didnt die at sylars hand if he came from that far in the future to be that old. Maybe he was the only one left in his time so he came back to stop them all from dying.

Hiro's powers are the most amazing thus far - FUTURE HIRO WAS SO COOL!
(Sorry, the fanboy in me is still reeling over how cool the end scene was.)

Hiro P'wNz with his frakin' FutureNInja Self. Plus Ando-san will have the ability to produce PORN at will!! That'd be tiiiight.
I watched tonights episode with a friend from Japan(whose name is really Hiro ), and he said that Hiro's japanese is perfect. It matches the subtitles, and he notices that Ando has an accent (he's a Chinese guy playing a Japanese).
