| I appreciate how you posted how to do that, Slippy. It managed to not make me feel like an idiot. Very smooth . . . |

You mean there is a search function on this board that uses Google?
How does it work? How cool is that!!!
Anyhow, if Google indexes all our posts, does that mean anything we say here can be read by anybody on the internet? Even those other posters over there at them "9th Wonders" Forums? I've browsed them forums, but never signed on or participated. They are not as cool a bunch of people, as you gals and guys are here!!!
POPKORN and I, will have to be very careful with our theories this coming season... We don't want them "9th wonders" folks to be stealing ideas from us!!!
Speaking of which, I am off to buy some special effects! Thanks Zonedancer! |

Erm...you'll have to wait for Slippy to answer the technical aspect of the question...but if you want to find the search engine, it's under the "Board" menu, right under the "Refer a friend" link. It's a pretty decent engine to use, IMHO. I don't know if it's based on any particular "brand-name" engine (ala Google). Maybe Slippy could answer that for you. |

Sorry OF.... Maybe, I should have included a </sarcasm> tag to my comments.
I knew that function -- I used it.
But to be honest, I don't know how it works.
I've been messing around with a website and a blog of my own for a bit now, but I don't know enough about how things get indexed by Google. |

Ah. Oops.
Sarcasm is easily lost in translation without some hints. I probably should have been able to tell, but I'm running on ~3 hours sleep here. And today's just been one of those days (totally ruined my experiment in lab, stuck for 5 hours in the library working, the list goes on and on). Pardon me for having a slow moment there. I figured it was strange that you had won the scavenger hunt without knowing what it was. Talk about a blonde moment! |

Nah, you're cool!
Both my niece and I think we should have been blondes. We have those kind of moments like 200 times a day -- seriously... (The shame of it is that I used to be smarter than I am now, What happened?) |

Age is what happened, Herc. Join the club. College has made me feel like a blithering idiot. I never cracked open a book to study before 2004. Awesome memory. Now...if I actually remember anything I heard in lecture just an hour earlier, it's an accomplishment!
The prospect of getting old worries me. Not (just) because of my physical appearance, but I already notice that my memory's going down the drain. It scares me because I'm only 20! How much worse does it get, Old-timers? What's the old saying? Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most....*ducks for cover*
BTW--My 21st B-day is September 5. Feel free to send all gifts to.......lol j/k.
Anyway...what was the original topic?
Are you gonna post another hunt, Zone? Or are you fresh outta waffles? (Dang it, now I'm hungry! Mmm..... ) |

See, I bought two lottery tickets, but they are not showing in the items I own, list....(I need to contact BYD or SH)
Hmm......If I win, I'll spread some love, like Zonedancer!

Lottery tickets don't show up in the inventory.
And I'm thinking if I win the lottery this week, I'll do a few hunts too. Or I'll think of some other way to spread the love. Right now I have enough to get a custom title (thanks to Zone! ), which is the only thing I want. I just have no idea what to put there.
I was asking Zone out of curiosity. I'd like to see other people win his hunts. |

Glad you guys liked the Scavenger Hunt
and it makes me feel good that
your putting the Waffles to good use.
I'll admit that when I started the game
I didn't know about the search engine
that Slippy told us about,
just the one where you could look up
all the posts by a particular author.
Anyone of course is welcome to post
their own hunt here on this thread
while I slow down abit for now...
I want to see if I can think up another way
to give away some more of those waffles I won.
Hopefully I will get another opportunity to win that
Waffle Lottery soon and have the chance to think
up something really grand! |

| I have to agree. The search engine does seem like a cheap way to gain waffles. How about trivia, or something of that nature? Granted, folks could also google those answers as well, but you could make the prize somewhat smaller, thus dragging on the proceedings a bit more.... |
