I am wanting to find someone who has every episode digitally recorded, and can transfer them to DVD. I currently do not have this ability, but i am seeking the end product, and any information on what equipment i can do this with myself would be very helpful. Is anyone currently doing this?
They have the technology for you to record straight from TV to your computer or plug a VCR to your computer and save it to your computer. Tivo and a DVD burner would be the other option... of course you have commercials. The best option would be have patience bc NBC will most definitely have Season 1 out on DVD for Christmas '07. Heck, it may be out before the end of summer. And with that they better have extras!!!
yeah, i can transfer vhs to dvd right now but the quality is not to good. and tivo is not in my budjet right now either, i was hoping to find some one who is doing this already with tivo or a dvd recorder and contracting copies from them, and what is this patience you speak of? I know the box sets will be out with printed discs and promotional stuff and very high quality, and i will eventually buyu them, i just know they will be pricey.
I plan on buying it but I hope its not one of those $80-90 sets like CSI, Sopranos, etc. I'm hoping its in the $40-50 price range like the Buffy & Angel DVDs were.
Best advice is to do it legally and wait for the DVD's. You could always buy them on iTunes, but sadly iTunes doesn't let you burn TV shows or movies to DVD.
I agree, Superhiro. That way there's no issue with quality. Plus, I got busted by Warner Bros. over downloading some movie for my kid. I didn't get like "going to court" busted, but my ISP (Comcast) sent me a very harshly worded email . . . I'd rather have the 'real' thing anyway!
O.K. im seein a trend here..........Superhiro will you close this thread for me before i become a Pirate? I will buy the box set when it comes out, like i have planned all along, i just do not have my original episodes to watch anymore and would like to review them. Patience is a virtue. Hurry NBC get them out!

I pirate something daily. I am too poor to buy all the music and movies I want; that's why I spring for the high speed cable internet!! I'm not knocking you, but know that Big Brother is watching . . . .

If it's okay, I'll go ahead and leave it open so we can post news and ideas about Heroes on DVD. What special features would you like added to a Heroes DVD set? I'd like to see how they implement their creative process. It would be cool to watch how an episode goes from concept to filming to editing, etc.
