I was realy surprised that they didn't subtitle the French. So, I will use my supertranslation power to give you the translation of what the Haitian and Mrs Petrelli say in French :
- first when the Haitian is on the payohone, he says :
"Yes, I have the girl. What do you want me to do ? ... I see... Marseille [I am not sure of that last word, although I am French]
- then, at Peter's apartment :
Mrs Petrelli [to the Haitian] : "At least now she will be safe. But not thanks to you"
The Haitian : Listen, I did everything I could. She would have found her own way eventually."
thx for the translation....translations are ALWAYS appreciated....and to the person that says they're 5 yrs in the future...>FRUCK J00000!!!! thats not nice...for all i know they coulda been in the PAST or something! (they showed some construction crane moving a huge rafter thingy, did anyone else see that?) it coulda been WAAAAAY in the future for all i know =[ i hope u just randomly picked "5" as the yrs they were in the future
There is still the potential theory that Linderman could be at least Nathan's biological dad, if not Peter's as well. After all, their mom did say that they both were as different as night and day. Who knows? Maybe one is a Linderman spawn, and the other is just a genetic misfit that didn't know any better.. I'm for Peter being Linderman's by-blow, and Nathan being his father's son. We'll have to see..
I can't believe this would be an argument from a Heroes fan! Remember Claire Bennett? Had her and Nathan met eachother prior to the truth coming out, would she have known her own father? Kids are left in the dark for a lot of things, Nathan could very well be in the dark on who his father is.
I think Linderman and mama P. do have some type of relationship. She knows about the heroes and so does Linderman; They were all family friends at a time (cue Hiro to show us the real deal) so anything is possible. Has Mama P. ever been confided in by Nathan? We see with her concern for his problem with Claire/theElection that he trusts her enough to let her in on some things but how much does she know?
I'm almost willing to bet Nathan knows A LOT! By the way he spoke to Hiro in Vegas I almost get the feeling that Nathan knows a whole lot more than he lets on but he buried it subconciously so as to "not get hurt/hurt loved ones". He's the type of guy who would ignore something like a super power so he doesn't have to "deal with the issues". Anyway-- Obviously Peter heals, in fact I'd also be willing to bet he whoops Sylar's ass next episode. He's gonna start to heal and realize Sylar cant hurt him and just pound on him. (Peter= fly+invisibility+telechenesis+regeneration+he can see the future+time bend+nuclear+mind reading+{whatever power his mother/father may have had}+whatever powers Sylar has...... Sylar=telechenesis+super memory+melting stuff+superhearing+something i'm sure I forgot) P OINT BEING- Peter if he can collect himself, will SERVE SYLAR UP.
*on a side note, if Peter can harness Isaac's painting the future and Hiro's time bend.... This cat is gonna be friggin UNSTOPPABLE... I can't wait til the 23rd of April....
JORMENGRUND, thank you for not having a closed mind, I was sure there were others who think it could be a possibility.
NINJAMONKEY, if everyone could recognize their father when they see them then how come we have a Jerry Springer show??????? Have you ever heard of Extramarital affairs, or one man marrying a woman who is already pregnant? Or possibly a child being raised by a man saying he is the father when he really isnt........HMMMMM?????You know, like Claire and HRG? I think it could be so, it may not be. time will show us, till im proven otherwise i will think it is a possibility. i truely dismiss nothing untill it is written into the story as fact.
I also have to say as an out that even when it is written into the show as fact there is still the possibility that at some point they'll completely debunk that was well. After all, some of these plotlines are starting to remind me of soap-operaish ideas that I really, really, REALLY hate. You know, you think someone's dead for a season, and then BAM! Next season they're alive and well because they were secretly rescued by something and nursed to health while the cameras stayed off them for that period of time.. ad infinitum.
Anyway, I'd like to see some drama, but nothing too severe to make me ill watching them scramble to fake a plotline! You know. Hana rushes into a blazing building filled with Company guys, freaks them all out, breaks HRG out, only to be stopped at a different city by Thompson, they hole up in a shack, and are rescued by Jessica on orders from Linderman to save them and get them to start workign for him against the company.. that kind of junk just wouldn't fly too well with me....
Kids are left in the dark for a lot of things, Nathan could very well be in the dark on who his father is.

"Papa Petrelli" was a SURROGATE FATHER! Similar to HRG. And what if he was killed by the company for the same reasons that HRG may be off'ed. After all, we see that Mama Petrelli has been doing all in her power to protect her family, especially her dear grandaughter, Vivan Lewis. Lol.

I think that Mama Petrelli may indeed be connected to Linderman moreso than we actually know. However, there are two questions that that scenario poses...
Did she know about Nathan planning to take Papa Petrelli down... and if so, did she have something to do with Linderman's goons running Nathan off the road, ultimately paralyzing Heidi? She could have in fact ordered that to happen, but only just to scare Nathan. Instead, she didn't realize that his power would kick in so suddendly causing the car to crash and mess up a significant part of his life. Or maybe that was her intention... to hurt his marriage via causing a disability to Heidi, which may foster sympathy from voters everywhere, thus guaranteeing him a better spot in the election. At times, Mama Petrelli can seem a little... evil...
On a sidenote, I've never voiced it, but you know what would have probably solved the whole Heidi situation? IF NATHAN WAS WEARING A SEATBELT! Sure he may have still flown up a little, but I think that the seatbelt would have definitely stopped him from elevating into the sky, thus maybe he would have had a chance to stop that car from crashing. Anyway, now I'm going off on a tangent, lol. Moral of the story kids: Buckle up.

This reminds me of what Claude tried to tell Peter when first teaching him about his powers, that he has to let go of everything and not involve anybody in his mind in order to access his full potential. Almost being indifferent to everything to a certain extent. However, Peter soon proved him wrong with that, so I dunno...

One thing that Sylar may have as well is that freezing ability we saw used on Molly Walker's father as well as Isaac, I think (when Hiro sees him in the future, although I'm not positive about that... Isaac may have just looked blue because he lost a significant amount of blood in his body). In addition, what if this "freezing" ability is just Sylar's TK used on Mr. Walker's blood, slowing it down so much that it actually made his body cold and frozen. Hmmm..
In regards to the powers that Peter has absorbed, however, I'm not so sure that he has Charlie's power. If he does, then he certainly doesn't realize it yet. Or maybe he hasn't had the chance to realize it yet... maybe he hasn't needed to recall anything significant in his memory, thus her power remains at rest. I'm began to think that Peter could only absorb the powers that Sylar uses on him, which is why he has only displayed telekinesis and not Charlie's ability, nor the "freezing" ability, if there is one. But then again, Isaac didn't use his powers in the presence of Peter, and Peter was still able to paint the future, so I'm not sure if this theory makes sense.

I wonder what gave Nicki the upper hand so she could put Jessica in the back seat? I was glad to see it, i wonder if maybe the people she is around influences who is in charge...........any way i was glad to see it!
One of the variations of this theory was that Petrelli Sr. had faked his death and that he and Linderman were one and the same. That's the one that is unlikely given Nathan's response. The idea that Linderman could illegitimately be Nathan and/or Peter's biological father is still in play.
