I am thinking the cockroach thing is in a sense, the roach has survived since the begining of time and you cant hardly stop Sylar either, he keeps surviving...................

MATT, i am thinking Sylar killed dereck not because he has a power but he was going to blow it for Sylar who wants the wonder twins powers so he Clocked (pun) him.

Squeaker, That was awesome!!! The West/Claire bit is lame! the dude is creepy stalker guy! If i was here id be pi$$ed that he was pullin the peeping tom bit! She should be like "Who cares if you fly, so does my daddy......witch!"

I honestly think that Sylar gave them the name Gabriel mainly because like his watch right now, the Sylar he knows is broken.

Thus, once he's fixed himself, I think he's start calling himself Sylar again. But for now, while he's broken, he's just plain, 'ol Gabriel Gray....

Very interesting episode.

Did anyone else pick up on the ticking in the background before Sylar killed Derek? That's one of the themes associated with Sylar, and we have seen many instances of it through the series, nice to see some continuity in this new season.

As for Sylar having amnesia, I don't think so. If he did, he wouldn't remember that he had powers, or what happened at Kirby Plaza. Interestingly, Sylar's watch (which happens to be a Sylar Wink

) is cracked, which I see as a symbol for him hiding his Sylar name, after all, he wasn't about to call himself Sylar in front of the siblings.

The thing with Matt's Dad was totally unexpected though, that surprised me. It's good that we have a clearer identity for this "boogeyman" now, and he sounds like one bad dude from what we can tell since he torments Molly so much. She said he's worse than Sylar, but what could that mean? How can you be worse than Sylar? Confused

I can't wait to find out.

As for west, definitely a spy, possibly for The Company. If so, trouble is definitely coming, the painting is evidence enough of that. Perhaps West will go to dob in Claire and Bennet will try to stop him only to get shot? I'm thinking she could be with him involuntarily in that painting.

I've updated my theories. Smile

Ohhhh man... What to say about this episode... I personally loved it. It was thorough for once.

First of all I don't know what to think about the Claire/West saga. I saw a post in the 'spoilers' section about how there might be a parralel from the scene at the Hollywood sign to the Bible. I liked that parralel but I'm honestly unsure how to see West... Teenager in love or secret spy? Personally I think a teenage boy would rather get naughty with Claire than to help a company. Wink

As for Nathan-- When he's visiting his kids the teacher says "you're not allowed to be here." Does he have a restraining order on him or something? What happened after the bomb that made everything go sour? Is his wife freaked out that Linderman healed her and that Nathan is involved in something she doesn't trust?

Also what's the deal with his face? We got to see his mangled grill again--- but what does it mean? Could Mama Patrelli have healed him after the bomb? Or is it an illusion of some type? That would make sense if in fact she is an empath of sorts. Linderman could've hooked her up with that ability to heal.

If you notice when Nathan tells Parkman that he needs five minutes with his mother he walks into the room and when he walks into the room you hear a sort of sound effect that seems to be like entering a forcefield or a range of a power or something of that nature. The sound effect was not for camera angle changes, it is clearly a sound effect that happens as he enters the room--- any ideas?

That leads me to another point--- when they are wheeling her out of the hospital to jail it looks like her eyes turned bright green. It was kind of creepy. I'm re-watching it now to try and see the deal... well... on the computer it's not very clear but last night I could've sworn I saw it. lol.

And also on that note--- The helix in Molly's eyes was siiiiiiiiiiiiick. I thought that was so cool. But what significance does that hold? When she was scared out of her mind they showed up in her eyes. Could WTTB sense she was thinking about him and jumped into her conciousness?

But I believe my favorite part of the show was when Micah hugged his cousin Monica. He touched her back for a minute and closed his eyes like he does when he's trying to rig something up and then said "I just wish I could fix your dreams for you." Could he see what was wrong with her? So now I think in a couple of directions. Previously we thought he could just manipulate electronics but now I wonder if A) he can see how things work like Sylar or B) he can fix or create things with inanimate objects like FORGE did in X-men--- b/c he can fix a broken phone but can't fix his cousins hurt feelings... Or can he do both?

As the trend in the show goes, each succesive generation evolves so maybe he developed a couple powers.

Oh man I'm still going... Lets step back a bit in the episode

So when Parkman and Nathan are looking at the picture of the 12 Parkman says "I know this guy." Nathan replies "Hal?" Then Parkman reveals it's his father... I read somewhere that Hal was Nikki's dad... was it a confusion of names on the posts or could Nikki and Parkman be related? Hmmmmmm.... I'm running out of ideas, but let me know what ya'll think about this stuff.

West is bad. I don't trust him at all. I don't know what's going on with him but Claire is very naive to trust him. He's been peeking in her house, how could he have not seen her dad yet? (guy with horn rimmed glasses)

Interesting that some characters are starting to have the same powers. Like West and Nathan can both fly. And Charlie and Monica who can learn really fast.

What was Micah trying to do to Monica when he hugged her? We thought maybe he was trying to fix her because she was sad. If he was, that's cute.

Wasn't the cockroach in Mexico anyway?

Sylar didn't cut off Derek's head so he didn't suspect that Derek had powers. He wants to take Maya's power but he doesn't know what he's getting into. Those twins are messed up. I feel bad for her.

When he said his name was Gabriel I thought maybe he wouldn't be evil anymore but as soon as he picked up the rock... well... that went out the window.

This is the best show ever!!

I don't think Sylar was ever evil exactly - just completely oblivious to the fact that killing people and taking their brains is bad. He's like any predator in the animal kingdom. He's a hunter.

I also thought it was very sweet that Micah wanted to fix Charlie. He's so kind and reliable - totally unlike his flakey mother ^.^

Hmm, there was one other thing... ah yes - the sound effect and green eyes on the Angela/Nath scene.

I'm convinced that sound effect was just scene change. If Nath passed thru some kind of forcefield, I think he would have felt it (and I think the writers would have given us something more distinctive if it were meant to be a clue). But you never know ^.^ She definitely has a power - it could be anything!

I watched her eyes very carefully in slow-mo for the green glow you mentioned. I couldn't see anything out of the norm, tho they did light up a little under the ambient lighting. What I can say is that her expression is very different when she's not with Nathan. She's awfully confident - and dare I say shrewd. I think she knows exactly what she's doing - and she's playing him - again!

no way he walked that far. and what happened to all the pain he was in?

anyone notice that nathan petrelli's dad wasn't looking forward? so you couldn't see his face.

I think Papa Petrelli is trying to see where Kaito's hand is since Kaito is standing next to Mama Petrelli, and he is alread jealous of the extended hugs they give each other.......
