Yeah that one totally escaped me too. I just assumed in the Heroes Universe that everyone drives a Nissan. Wink

People don't seem to know how to use their powers properly.

Candice could have created any kind of illusion to stop Sylar from finishing her off - make him think she was somewhere else, make him see twenty of her, hide herself, put him in a maze, etc. IF her illusions include sensation, she might even have been able to make a wall between herself and Sylar that felt solid. Maybe as others have said, she made him think he killed her, but he didn't, and that's why he doesn't have her power. But I doubt it.

I've been thinking about emotional reasons Peter might not have taken "the box" by force, but in the back of my mind I know that it might be just because he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Like last season when he spent all that time with Claude and never learned to duck.

I'm trying to stay open to Maya and Alejandro, but I wish Maya had some more backbone. Her rescue of Alejandro was a step in that direction, but not enough.

Re Candice; the first thing Sylar did was smash her head wide open. I'm not sure what it was he hit her with, but she had bits of glass lodged into her skull. I think she was finished right there and then, to be honest.

Re Peter; He showed in Kinded that he still can't summon his powers on demand; he has no idea how/when/why they work. So in Lizards, he was still looking at the box situation from the perspective of an ordinary 'human'. If he had tried to take the box it would have had to be a regular 'human' grab... and Ricky is a lot bigger than Peter is...

Re Maya & Alej; I agree, that power would be very useful if they used it right. As they demonstrated in the police station, people don't necessarily have to die. That whole plotline is a bit on the slow side. Here's hoping they hurry up and pass on their powers to Peter/Sylar/Nissan, so they can get the hell of the road...

PS: I miss Sylar's powers, purely for the fact that he's a clever and inventive individual with no hangups. When Sylar's on screen, you just know you're gonna see some pretty colours!

Nice theory there! It would certainly be interesting if that were true.

As for Candice, I get the feeling that she's still alive. I agree that Sylar going outside only to find himself in the middle of nowhere is very fishy, and it wouldn't have been hard for her to trick him. Him seeing her "true" form would only add to the illusion.
Besides that, surely the writers wouldn't kill a recurring character like her off that easily?

Then again, she's not in the list of actors for the next episode from what I've seen. Sad

If she's really dead, that sucks.

And if she really is dead, then Sylar should have her power, even if he can't use it. He could be suffering from early symptoms of the virus which are stopping his powers. If he had the full thing though, he'd probably be like the Haitian was.

And if Sylar has her power and becomes able to use it...well, we've all seen the Future episode. Wink

Now that i have seen this episode it really makes me think that they only delayed the bomb. I am just thinking out loud here people. Ok Peter has lost his memory does that mean he can still explode because he doesn't know how to control his powers????? We all know if Sylar never got that Candice than he will later and when he does he will be way way more powerful aka future Sylar.

I really think this reminds me of Terminator 3 about how they just delayed D Day not stop it. Ahhh well who knows really all i can say is i am excited. Ohh btw this is my frist post hehe i love this site Smile

Just because Peter lost his memory doesn't necessarily mean his mind was wiped, but I guess it's fairly likely. After rewatching the episode last night, it confirmed to me that the car Maya & Alejandro and the other guy escaped in was indeed Claire's. They made it a point to focus in on the bumper sticker on the rear bumper that said GO Conquistadors! I've wondered for a while if Linderman was truly dead. He was too big a character IMHO to just have such a brief appearance on the show. Another thing about Peter, I'm wondering what other powers he has picked up. He obviously has been in contact with others who have powers as evidenced by the new Electric/Lightning waves that come out of his hands. It would appear to me someone wants him out of the picture, but the who and why are what I'm not sure of. Also, it does look like Claire is in the picture of HRG getting shot in the eye, but I can't tell who the person holding her back is. Peter? Nathan? West? Any chance HRG dosen't die?

Actually, I gave a theory that Sylar was posing as HRG, and took the bullet.

Mainly I did this because we all know that Zach Quinto is going to be leaving the show for a while to at least do the Star Trek movie, so there's a valid reason for him to do a nice death scene.

However, just because someone's leaving the show doesn't mean that they're going to be staying away for very long. I'd guess that there's something else we're missing here....
