Yeah, it's annoying, but there's gotta be something behind it if Isaac drew it as the solution in his last comic.
As for Future Hiro jumping back and not seeing a change, that's exactly the problem. He was expecting to come back to a restored New York, but he didn't. Now we'll see Hiro trying to fix what failed in Future Hiro's theory, I think. The other reason the future hadn't changed is because Sylar hadn't gotten stabbed yet. Future Hiro asked Present Hiro that question at one point, and that's when it became all about getting Present Hiro back to the...well...present!
I don't know what stabbing Sylar will do to stop the bomb if it's really Peter, but who knows what the writers will pull on us! I'm tagging this as "wait and see."
I think you figured the rest out yourself.
The reason everyone is so focused on killing Sylar is because the explosion is blamed on him. Everyone thinks Sylar exploded (even Niki, and she dates Peter in the future!). The only people who know that Sylar WASN'T the explosion are Future Nathan, Future Sylar, and Future Peter. Nathan's dead, so that leaves Sylar and Peter. Hiro, from Isaac's last comic, thinks he needs to kill Sylar. Whether or not it'll work remains to be seen.
i was thinking the exact same thing. wish i posted it sooner. it's about time peter is a bada$$. a few things we know in the present timeline:
1. peter is the bomb, we don't know what causes it.
2. killing sylar may not save new york city
3. future hiro is cool
4. there's a lot of meta's and the number is increasing like crazy.
5. time travel plots are complicated and give me headaches
i'm assuming since f-hiro is now dead, present hiro has no help and won't know if he's on the right track. unless he timetravels to before f-hiro was killed.....again, timetravel plots are complicated.
it'll be interesting to see if sylar tries to go after micah to repair suresh's computer so sylar can get the list of meta's. maybe we'll see a jessica vs. sylar or even a linderman vs. sylar because linderman has micah.
"no....i want dr. suresh to do it" when parkman wanted to kill present hiro in the future....
does sylar somehow want mohinder to put down the haitain? maybe he WANTS hiro to go to the past etc etc.....this is kinda EEK but thats my theory...he WANTED suresh to fufill that stuff....maybe he wanted to battle everyone there and knew the haitain would block his power? i just think it was weird instead of saying "yea parkman go kill him.."
WOWOWOWOWOWOW parkman KNOWS its sylar....(when he grabbed peter and phased him through the wall!!)
im kinda sure matt parkman knew/found out nathan's power= flight...so to see him do that....parkman even saw them both battling no? (as sylar)
also....im guessing dl can phase ppl/items with him through walls because i doubt peter willingly turned on his phase power so that sylar could pull him through the door...
thoughts?
(ps, sry for the multiple posts, its just different stuff)
also...as part of the ANDO= THE KEY! theory of mine.....hiro has isaac's comic book....but future hiro gives ando a DIFFERENT piece, its covered in blood too...(aka its not the pic of hiro stabbing sylar)
i think its something ANDO has to do....sacrifice himself...or SOMETHING....i need to watch/think more but i think ando is gonna be the shizzle in the next three eps
If Matt were in the same hallway with Sylar and Peter doing that serious battle, do you think he'd survive the amount of power and energy that was being thrown around? I don't.
Another question to ponder:
If F. Hiro returns to his timeline, unaware if Peter was able to save Claire, then until Hiro and Ando jumped into his timeline, everything went on according to F. Hiro's timeline. However, instead of Sylar getting stabbed, and Hiro unable to stop him from exploding, now it's Peter wiping out NYC, and Sylar going into hiding.
We all know that Sylar is crafty, but just how devious can he be? Apparently he's willing and able to do just about anything to keep himself in a serious position of power. Just look at what he did in order to assume Nathan's position as President in the last episode.
First, he had to have everyone thinking that he was dead.
Second, he had to find Candace, and steal her ability. Somewhere along this line, he was also able to find DL and take on his power.
He then finds Nathan and takes over not only his power, but his identity as well.
He then uses this power to corral and bring in every evolved hero out there. Once contained, it's a veritable feast for Sylar. I mean, if you have all of these powers caged and in your control, it stands to reason that he's taken a few extra abilities along the way. It's one of the perks!
I'm impressed that he was able to keep his facade up as long as he was able. That degree of self-control shows that he's not just maniacal, but he's devious, and cunning. I'm looking forward to where they're going to take us next week. Meeting Sylar's mom should prove to be quite insightful!
Ok, let's use some logic to answer some of the questions that have been generated in the past 6 or 7 posts by everyone.
Before I proceed, let's assume this common terminology between us:
LOOP 1= Sylar explodes. This is the story in Graphic Novel # 30, "String Theory".
LOOP 2= Peter explodes. This is the story in Episode # 20, "Five years gone".
LOOP 3= Everything that happens from here on (Last 3 episodes OR last 4 hours for this year).
#1: Ando and Hiro (present day - pd) think the cheerleader is dead and Sylar has been captured.
#2: Ando and Hiro (pd) arrive in the future a few moments (seconds) before F. Hiro.
#3: Ando and Hiro (pd) DO NOT know that Peter saved the cheerleader and has her powers.
#4: F. Hiro thinks from LOOP 1 that Sylar caused the explosion, so the way to stop the bomb is to save Claire from dying in Sylar's hands.
#5: F.Hiro returns moments after talking to Peter in the subway on Oct. 4th thinking that he changed the future. He is only moments behind Ando and Hiro (pd).
#6: Until F. Hiro tells Ando and Hiro, they have no idea that the cheerleader was saved by Peter!
#7: What Ando and Hiro (pd) don't know are what other events need to be affected in order for the timeline they witnessed to be changed.
So in conclusion:
LOOP 1: Sylar has healing power. Blows up. Everything turns bad for NYC and ultimately the world.
LOOP 2: Peter has healing power. Blows up. Everything turns bad for NYC and ultimately the world.
LOOP 3: "Save the Cheerleader" -- Check. Prevent Peter from blowing up -- Check. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY: Stop Sylar -- Will it be done?
How come the future Sylar/Nathan likes to take the abilities of others. Why didn't he take Hiro's ability instead of getting Suresh to kill him??
Right before he killed Claire, Nathan/Sylar said that once he gets her power, he'd have no interest in getting any other powers. He just wanted to get rid of all the other competition (all the other specials).
maybe, but i think sylar WANTED suresh to get hiro to go back to the past (not sure why yet though) thats my "theory" i mean COME ON....i know he had no interest but....if someone said "he can bend time and space and time travel! there are 2 of him!" i'd DEFINATElYYYY WANT THAT POWER.....im thinking isaac's precog ability caused sylar to.....eek nvm imma post this somewhere else teehee
