Ok, "Heroes" is back in my good graces after all!!!
WHAT A GREAT EPISODE! WHAT A KICK-ASS EPISODE!
Mohinder is still an a$$, but that's his problem. But we finally get some damn character exposition. FINALLY! Some of you might say, well, it takes a few episodes to build these characters up so we can offer you things like we saw tonight.
Well, the thing I wish they had not done, is take so long with some of the storylines. That's all. We can understand the emnity between Hiro and Kensei/Adam pretty clearly. But you didn't have to spend 6 episodes in medieval Japan to pull that off.
OK, things I loved:
-- Claire finally growing-up: I will show the world what I can do, and I'll protect my family.
-- Kudos to me! I predicted Victoria Pratt was a biologist! Yatta! Strain-138. I wish, "Generations" had given us some more exposition about the company. To me they still look kind of evil. And Bob, he keeps going back and forth, between evil and good! LOL!
-- I knew Micah would be Monica's sidekick! Yatta!
-- Mohinder is still an idiot. But does he fall into these traps of idiocy because he's idealistic? Who knows!
-- My most favorite part? How Sylar played Maya and Alejandro! That part was great! But darn it, why did you take 10 episodes to pay us off on this stuff? Sylar has proven to be such a great character! And his manipulation of people, even without powers today was majestic!!! WOW is all I can say!
Overall, very impressed today. Too bad, Mohinder got stopped on the way to the airport. Nikki gets no cure! But Niki will be a HERO anyway, I foresee!
Too bad there is only one more episode left. This could have turned out to be a great season!
SEASON FINALE, unless the writers strike gets settled SOON. If the writers strike drags on much past after the New Year, I think the next time we'll see new Episodes, will be next fall.

Overall it was an "ok" ep; I thought that it was much slower than last week's ep, which many people criticized for some reason. And like the previous post, it certainly didn't take so many pointless ep's to lead up to this point. Alejandro and Maya?.... seriously this deserves a swift "WTF". You mean to tell me that you made me watch all that storyline just to have sylar kill A, then run off with M??? w/e.
My biggest question still remains: Why did Mrs. Petrelli want Peter to explode?
I hope this season ends well. Apparently the previews for the final ep said , "Two Heroes Will Fall!!" I do hope it's not Hiro, although the end of this ep makes me worry =/.
No, the Alejandro and Maya storyline could have been super-compressed into one or two weeks at most. That's where the writers went wrong with it. Dragging their adventure out. I mean, yeah they had to drive across Mexico to run into Sylar, but that was the whole point.
The whole Sylar manipulating Maya storyline WAS DELICIOUS and a lot more than you get from most night time dramas now. Again, it could have been a little tighter, but it worked in the end. I loved Maya's pleading line to her brother:
"I am a murderer too!" That was priceless. The payoff with Sylar better be good, because then, I'll be upset!
I am not going to dump too much on this episode, but it really did lack.
I loved
-the Hiro-Peter confrontation...totally cool.
-HRG outburst to Mohinder...you son of a Btch
-Claires punching the window and her point...yeah Im going to the media!
-The fade away showing West next to her-really shows they can both go to the media.
I did NOT like
-Maya and Sylar kissing-what the F. It just did not hold--waited too long.
-Nikki (again) did not do anything except ''blah-love u mica"..geez punch something already!--even if you dont have your powers.
-Didnt Monica watch a whole movie on kungfu? she was being pulled out-and that look on her face..ala Laurel and Hardy.....oh geez
-More Claire crying. I know it was abt HRG...but come on grow some keehones.
-Started w BOB back at the house, wierd.
-Peter has become so rogue. No more questioning. So many powers and he couldn't wait to ask Victoria more questions. Or at least probe Adams mind.
Then he refuses to believe Hiro, after Victoria said he was evil, and then Hiro telling him....come on peter...who ya gonna believe..SYlar?
-Umm where was MATT, last EP we saw him in the apartment hanging the photo up...and he would never leave Molly....WHAT babysitter? W his new power and Sylar freakin powerless, he could have told him to go back to Mexico.
other than that, I cant wait to see how this season ends.
It's never a good thing when you want characters to die because they're so flippin' STUPID. Maya, must I take you out back and SLAP you??? Sylar didn't need to be masterful with this silly cookie. He could have killed Alejandro with a bag over his head and his hands tied, what with Maya all but handing him over to Sylar on a platter. Here dear, would you like a knife and fork with that, or will you just eat Fiji style?
And Peter ! He was a little smarter in the first season. I mean, call me crazy, but I don't know, if I lost my memory and then it came back, the first thing I might do is try to locate a family member to find out what's what. Maybe my burned up brother, for example. But Peter prefers to hang out with a complete stranger to save the world from a virus. Okaaaaay Peter.
At this rate I would like Kensei to get that virus out ...
Thanks for listening to my rant. I wouldn't be so pissed if I didn't care about this show. I don't sit down to watch anything on t.v. except this show, that's how much I like it. And it tanked for me tonite. I was actually bored during the whole Peter/Kensei and Hiro/Ando scenes, and Micah/Nikki and Claire/Elle ... sigh. Of course I will watch next week but wow, hope those writers get a pay raise because they deserve it !!!!!
I think the real question is who is the bigger idiot in this whole show
1. Peter Petrelli
"Oh sure i'll defend Adam against you Hiro even though we helped save the world a few months ago".
2. Maya
"Ooh Sylar you understand me, lets leave my brother here even though he's looked after me for all this time".
Could even add Mohinder into the mix as well.
Maya needs to be killed off quick shes ruining the whole show. Especially with her dumb ass little smile at the end of the ep while Sylars there stroking Molly's hair.
I wasn't very impressed with this episode. I thought the last 2 episodes of what looks like will be the end of season 2 would be better than that! There were some interesting things, but mostly just filler. There are alot of inconsistencies if you ask me. The most glaring one to me was Victoria Pratt supposedly left the company on that day in 1977, and said she wouldn't be a part of what they were doing. Then why the heck would see pose for a picture with the founding members of the company after all these years? Doesn't make alot of sense to me. The writers are making Peter look like an idiot. Victoria said Peter's parents were killers or something along those lines, and he doesn't even question that? Like what are you talking about, or it's not possible? C'mon that's just lame.
I don't even want to comment on the Maya/Alenjandro crap but I will. How ignorant has all of this been? It looks way to contrived. Sure, screw my brother, who #1 is my brother, #2 is the only family I have left apparently, #3 is the only one who I 100% know can help me if I cry black. But to just discount him in favor of a complete stranger? Idiot! I hope Maya dies soon! I do hope though that Sylar doesn't get her power cause then he'd be pretty hard to stop.
God, I hope next week is 10x's better than this week!
Wow. Screw you all, the episode was COOOOOOOL. I will say that all these storylines're being pushed forward waaaaaaaaay too quickly, but hey, they're trying to make a silk purse from the sow's ear the striking writers handed them. The pace of this episode was very frenetic. "Hi, I'm Victoria Pratt -- BLAM!!! -- THUD -- gurglegurgle . . ." R.I.P. there, Vicki. OMFG, Hiro vs. Peter??????? I guess we saw something like that coming . . . but Hiro should get pwned, honestly, in a fight w/ Peter. Apparently Peter can't' be affected by Hiro's manipulation of time, since he has that power as well? And, I'm sorry Petey boy, but respect your elders there bub. Victoria KNEW about Adam, she was friggin THERE dude; you couldn't read her mind on that one? Ya should've let her blow his friggin head off. Also, looks like Sylar's gonna be back and empowered again, and Niki's screwed . . . YATTA!! Sorry Nikki, ur hot and all, but we need some Sylar-esque villainy . . . like
where was Maya while he was giving himself the injection of the "cure" in the preview? WTG Sylar, cuz if u didn't kill her, she's loose and pissed off in NYC.
Also, i don't recall them saying at any point last night that next week was the finale, whereas they said this several times last week . . . . is next week being the final episode written in stone or not?
I'm starting to see a running theme here. It seems that every time a character likes someone, things go terribly wrong. Claire likes West, she puts her family in danger. Maya likes Sylar, gets her brother killed. Hiro likes the swordsman daughter (forgot her name), Adam seeks revenge. Peter likes everybody, the world is constantly in danger. When is this going to stop?
Everybody's talking bad about Mohinder. He's not an idiot. You have to remember, he thinks HRG is parnoid. HRG wanted to kill Molly to stop the "tracking system". HRG killed Thompson (who Mo was working with to help Molly and stop Sylar). HRG killed his Russian mentor. So to Mohinder it would seem like HRG is going mad. Mo thinks the company is trying to help humanity. So it makes sense that Mo favors the company over HRG at this point.
About Maya. Yeah, that storyline isn't the greatest. But, maybe Maya is potentially evil inside. Who knows? She didn't seem to worried when she killed the border guards. And she wanted Alejandro's wife dead. Maybe Sylar was the push she needed. Just like Sylar realizing his power was his push when he killed that TK guy. (forgot his name)
Claire. Man, there's nothing good I can't say anything googd about her this season. She's the biggest idiot of them all. Now she wants to go to the media? Expose herself? Yeah, that won't put her family in more danger. (sarcasm) Not to mention other civilian supers who have nothing to do with her father's "death".
She just needs to stay in the house and cheer in her basement for eternity.

What a mess. This season shows exactly why it is difficult to make a comic book type story into a regular television series. The writers are required to try and work the entire cast into the storyline in order to appease the actors and ensure that they remain part of the show.
Sylar is a great villain, but why include him in this season? Its obvious that Adam is the main villain this season, why not have Sylar come back next season with a new storyline. I'm probably one of the few people who think that the Maya-Alejandro power is worth spending time on, but it has no connection to the main storyline (although I'm sure they will try to wedge it in). No doubt the writer's had to involve Sylar in order to keep the actor on contract.
And the whole Sylar seduction scenes were just absurd. How do they end up drinking white wine on a grassy hill in Virginia? Enjoying a leisurely stroll? And the kiss...lets just say I'm about to stick out some wind chimes and wait for the Haitian to come and erase it from my memory.
I know the writers depend on the characters stupidity to further the story, but isn't there a limit? Its one thing when one character is making you groan, but when all of them are doing it; it just makes me want to stop watching.
Peter has always been gullible, but the writer's are really using it as a crutch now. I mean, Adam didn't really work to hard to cover up his plan to kill Victoria. And if he can read minds, like others have said, why doesn't he do it all the time?
Of course the show as always does a good job of leaving a cliffhanger at the end (Hiro vs. Peter), but we all now NBC ain't spending the big bucks on special effects, so it'll probably be resolved in 5 seconds ending with Peter looking confused (as always) and Hiro looking disappointed.
Despite my whinings I'll probably watch next week (because I'm a sap), but I plan on just fast forwarding anything that involves; Sylar and Maya, Niki and Micah, or Matt. So at least it'll be a quick show.
the thing that bugs me the most about this episode is peter... that dude is just way to trusting.
i was hella pissed when he read victoria's mind but not adams... i mean you just met the dude. i know he save your brother and all but he WAS locked up for 30 years.... there was probably SOME logical reason behind it especially if your mom worked for the company that locked him up. but no peter just blindly does what adam says with no sense of suspicion whatsoever.
and then when Hiro shows up he doesn't even really explain stuff, they just go at it. i'd figured that peter would have more trust for hiro then adam just because of the whole future hiro coming to talk to him kinda thing.
i would rather trust the time traveler that help me save the world then the guy who can live forever that i just met, even if he saved my brother...
