ok.... so does that mean that the company already knew of shanti's existence? and if so did chandra know about the company?
Bob has already mentioned several times about a young indian girl with a rare virus only found in her. The history from knowing about her to making a strain of the visur is not known.
I would say it's pretty safe to assume Chandra has absolutely no idea about the company since he was working independantly on his theory base on the "Human Genome Project" (what that entailed is unclear).
I think the history of the Petrelli parents is something I'm really hoping for in the future.

to me it's kinda suspect that Chandra had no idea whatsoever about the company... i just don't see it especially if with his daughter's virus being one of the most vaulable things to the company.
and it's apparent that the company knew about chandra... and the work he was doing. how could they not know.
my guess is that the company was keeping tabs on chandra. this would explain their knowledge of all things shanti related and why they enlisted mohinder... to continue his father works which they obviously know a whole lot about. and of course the OBVIOUS reason that he's the only person who can cure the virus with his blood.
and just because chandra was doing his own independent work doesn't mean he didn't know about the company in some way shape or form... it would actually explain a lot of things.
on a side note in response to something someone said earlier, the company is world-wide thing i'm pretty sure that it wasn't only american based..

I just wanted to say...that i found that point to be very funny...
Point:
So Victoria Pratt left the company 30 years ago....NEVER to return...and went into hiding.
But then she got (a call?, an email?, a plane dropped leaflets?) to appear in a Photo shoot of the company members. Which she was so happy to come out of hiding for. I mean it was a great photo...she wouldnt have missed it for the world.
...and back into hiding she went.
Freakin Wierd!
and the other point.
When Peter got his memory back, why didnt he go for Nathan. Last time Peter was (actively) with Nathan was when Nathan was flying him away from the city to save the world.
-So you would think that Peter (who wants to save the world-Thus save Catlin)....who knew that Nathan was healing (last he saw him).....would have probably needed-WANTED his help again to stop this from happening.
-Nathans help to save the world again...of course that also includes finding his MOM here in the present time-since he just met her in the future, and she gave him the low down.
But urgency is not what I saw. I didnt see Peter run out that door (in Montreal) and FREAKIN fly to Pratt's house.
Instead we see Peter and Adam sitting in a car, talking about taking down Pratt, before Peter suggest that he go up first to see her.
A car? what th... !
Didnt Peter just get back all his memories of what happened at Kirby Plaza, how he blew up and then flew down to pick up Nathan and then flew him to a hospital?
So couldn't he pick up Adam and fly to Victorias house. ?
Unless Adam weighed a ton more than Nathan.
-and yes, I know it would be a long flight...Nathan made it sound like he flew around the world in Season 1....."Japan huh?....never been"..So in that case maybe he should have just flown alone. why need Adam?
Hey bud where does Pratt live...Im outta here. ....I will get to her SUPER fast (flying alone) and you catch up OK.
-and I want to stop and see Nathan.
Now I have this visual that Adam bought another set of tickets to Victorias house (where ever that was)....and both Peter and Adam got on a plane...rented a car...stopped at Burger Kring (heh Kring) and took off to Pratts house.
man, i think everyone is overthinking the transporting thing. The only time Peter has flown when not near Nathan was when he jumped off the roof with Claude. Again, his powers acting on relfex on not self thought. Apart from invisibility and self-healing, he hasn't been able to call other powers at will yet. And at the moment, I think that is the cool think about Peter. We all know how unbelievably powerful he could be, but as yet, he has no idea himself. And when he does......bam!!!!!!! in your face!!!!!!!!!
I disagree with you on what powers he's able to call up at will.
If you'll recall, he's able to call lightning at will quite easily this season. It's the first ability he knew he'd had. Lightning this season is being used like TK was last season. Peter's first choice for a power was TK last season, and it served him well. This season, he's been calling up the lightning ability as a quick response. So far, it's done quite a bit to further his agenda. Mainly through fear and intimidation, but it's been effective.
I can't say that his healing ability is something that he consiously controls, however. His regenerative ability is one that I see as a passive power. It just "is", and when needed, kicks into action. Peter doesn't will himself to heal, but when he's injured, the regeneration locates and repairs the damage.
It has been mentioned that Peter can recall his abilities, and when he's able to do so, then he's basically got all of the powers he can recall at his disposal. Since he's now gotten his memory back, I'd say that he has access to every power he's consious of, and he also knows how to recall those powers. After all, his time spent in his "crash course" of training with Claude taught him much of what he needed to know about how to bring his abilities active. So what he needs to do now is find out what powers he's got, and how to use them in the most effective way possible.

Me too! I mentioned this in an earlier post as well. It doesn't make sense, and leads me to believe the writers are just making stuff up as they go. Probably the writer's strike has something to do with, but it doesn't all add up.
I'm sure the writers strike has EVERYTHING to do with all of these inconsensities we are having this season! Think about it, this season started out slowly, because the writers had in mind how they were going to introduce all of the new charachters and play out the season. THen the writers strike came, and all of the sudden they had to cram a lot of info into a very small amount of time, therefore comes the inconsensities, IE. Peter and Adam "appearing" in a car outside of Victoria's house, with no real explenation to how they got there so fast! We have to relax all of our attempts to breakdown every single episode, and minute in every single show! Things were extremely rushed this season, so let's give them a break, heh?!
I read in TV guide that "The En-Vouge thing to do this season, is to hate on Heroes" And that is SO true! I am a TRUE BLUE Heroes fan/Rainy day Heroes fan! I'm with them to the end, and I'm sure a lot of you guys are! But I'm getting so tired of people doggin Heroes! It's still a great show!
Ok, now I've gotten that out of my system! I remember when HRG sent Eden to watch Chandra Suresh. SHe actually lived next to him in his apartment buildning. That's how she ended up meeting Mohinder. I DONT remember the Haitian ever going to Chandra to erase his memories. I dont even remember HRG saying that he wanted that to happen. HRG went back to the apartment when Mo. was living there, and he was going to take the files he had on Claire. As far as I know the Haitian NEVER took anything from Chandra. I have S1, so I will definately scan thru and look for that, now that you've mentioned that! I dont think that Chandra was involved with the company at all! I believe that he was a very honest man, and that the company was a little too "Gray" for his beliefs!
We all know that the company has a lot of employees, out there! It's very possible that they got a sample of Shanti's blood, from one of the hospitals that she went to, before she died! I'm sure that Chandra didnt care for her at home, he's a genetiscist, not a MD! And, back then, Claude still worked for the company, so maybe he went to the hospital, and got one of the samples of her blood!? I'm not saying I know this to be a fact, I'm just stating a possibilitiy!

Yes, but...
Most of the problems were there from the onset: the poor introductions, the rehashing of Volume 1 stories, and the overall pacing problems; not to mention the West/Claire romance.
From what I understand, Volume 2 was ALWAYS supposed to end at episode 11, and that Season 2 would merely be comprised of 2 volumes, or at least 1 full volume and part of another. The only thing that changed is the way the last few minutes of Episode 11 - Powerless will play out, giving it more of a feel of a season finale rather than the ending of a short story arc of a longer season.
That said, the writer's strike doesn't really explain the problems. Maybe the addition of new writers is the issue, or maybe Tim Kring just lost his way a bit (he originally said he had plans for 5 seasons with a rotating cast each season, but that he changed his mind when fans loved the Volume 1 characters).
I also hope they can turn it around in Volume 3. Hopefully no one will teleport to a post-apocalyptic New York City in the future, for example. We need something totally fresh.
Your are right Herc...I hope the writers can put Heroes back on track.
This season was not what I (or the viewers) expected.
Really I was hoping for them (the writers) to pick up RIGHT where we left off. Maybe focusing on Peter believing he was a threat (after he blew up) and fleeing. Nathan unaware of Peter exisiting (like this season), and all the Heroes branching away.
Then some kind of terror attack..(Maury..whoever or whatever) would bring the Heroes back together. ALLLLLLLLL of them TOGETHER
Nothing like that happened this Season. Nikki has not done anything but knock down a door (where last season she bent a man in Half). Nathan was such a big focus last year, and was Peters savior in the end..but he has not done anything this Season except punch a mirror and somewhat help Matt.
..I can keep going,
but we really have only focused on Three Heroes this season. Peter, HRG, and Hiro.
[Claire and West was a story on its own....and who really cared about Maya or Alejandro.]
--and look at the latest Crud....OOh Micahs comic book were stolen by his cousin, who was mugged by gangsters. Monica gets caught in the wierdest way. She enters a balcony door (which was open)...sees the books and award....but doesnt go back out the door she just came in...its a freakin balcony. Just wait until they ALL have gone in a jump back down (with the backpack)...Umm no she decided to squeeze into the frame on the ceiling and got caught? what th..!?
-Anyways LOOK at it now. We have a Peter-Hiro-Adam virus outbreak. We have Moh-Sylar-Maya wanting a cure. and now We have a Nikki-Micah-Monica stopping street gangsters to get a backpack of comics and a trophy. --FINALE
and all that effort to bend Angelas mind about Victoria Pratt...."Well Matt shes dead bud", save the trip...hehehe
