Honestly, I don't think they ever thought there were iPods. Well, maybe the lackies did, but the leading guy I think not. I think he orchestrated the scenario as an excuse to stage an interrogation, through which he could beat up and ultimately gain service from the ‘stranger’, who he infact knows very well. That old game; "I believe you stole from us, that puts you in our debt. But I'm willing to let you off and give you your life back if you do this one job for me..."
Well duh. Not to be rude but it's pretty obvious that there were never any iPods in the container and someone wanted the thugs to find Peter. You just have to think about it and not state the obvious.

Ok I just started watching Heroes last week and finished season 1 last night and watched the season 2 premier as well. I gotta say for a season premier this episode was a let down.
Riiight. A let down? Geez, give the writers a break. Why don't you try writing an episode that's great without going over the budget, the schedules and the deadlines. Jesus Christ, why are all of you people like this? "I don't like the season premiere, now the show's a piece of sh*t!" What are you, twelve? These shows take time, you need to let it unfold. You can't expect them to drop everything on us in the first episode. If they did that, you'd still be pretty pissed, huh? "Oh, they had too many plotlines in the first episode. There wasn't enough time for every plot, now the show lost its substance and is a piece of sh*t!" Yeah, thought so. God damn fanboys.
I enjoyed it. It's a show and it entertained me. I never expect anything great from it so I'm never let down. I watch it so that I have something to do when I'm bored out of my mind.
So before you say that the show's premiere was disappointing, ask yourself if you can do any better. Probably not, and the show will just have a bunch of meaningless cliches and people using powers to fight each other. Geez... ingrates galore.
Dude lighten up! So if I have an opinion different from yours I'm ignorant? I never said the show sucked, I said the first episode didn't live up to my expectations. If you liked it good for you, but why resort to name calling because someone else didn't. That's pretty immature.
There was way too much hype. I love the show, but the promoters are starting to take themselves much too seriously.
I did not feel let down by the episode. A lot is going to happen this season, and like last season, it's going to move a little bit at a time. Some characters didn't appear in the first few episodes in season 1, and sometimes some characters skipped an episode. I have many old and new questions, but sooner or later, most of them will be answered.
I'm not sure which "who killed Kaito?" thread to put this in, so I'll include here my observation about the killer. He moved hesitantly at first, and until he charged Kaito, I actually thought he might be impaired. I don't know what to make of that, except that I was wrong about the impairment.
I am a little disappointed that Hiro has been punched again so early in the season, but he will rise to the occasion, and I will enjoy the storyline. I have always liked Hiro's idealism, sincerity, and trusting nature. And I don't think Hiro is trusting because he is naive. I think it's a choice he makes, and courage is required. Well, OK, he's a little naive, too. The comic relief is secondary to me.
SO glad Peter finally got a haircut. Someone was reminded of John Doe (which I think I remember vaguely); I was reminded of the Bourne Identity. The thieves didn't expect that Peter was responsible for the iPods being missing, but that whoever took them left him in there, so he should know something.
HRG laying down the law with his boss has joined my list of favorite moments which are guilty pleasures.
Well duh. Not to be rude but it's pretty obvious that there were never any iPods in the container and someone wanted the thugs to find Peter. You just have to think about it and not state the obvious.
I suggested the thugs themselves were in on it, and putting on a show It's not obvious; it's a theory that could easily be wrong.
For those who wanted it, I came across that better version of the clip I was referring to. It was here
I wasn't let down by this episode. I enjoyed it, but then I had no expectations. I was just so overwhelmingly grateful that there was another episode (several!) after season one ended.
I have to say that Claire's new friend(?) was rather rude ^.^ pressuring her to decide which social group she belonged to (robots or aliens) on her very first day, before she'd even worked out the lay of the land. So if we're meant to find him likeable, he missed the mark with me. But perhaps I misunderstand him. Yes, I did sigh a little when he turned out to have an ability we've seen already. But as someone suggested, it could be something very different from Nathan's flight - like wind. But if he is another flyer, I trust the writers to have some meaningful motive. They are, after all, very good.
First, it came off on quite a different path from season 1. I have totally no idea why but season 2 esp.1 feels lighter to me, the storyline I mean, compare to season 1 esp 1. And the show is off to a good start. I am glad I got to see more of Molly and of course, Boogeyman. The symbol made me curious.
About Kaito's killer, I kinda feels that he wants Kaito to know who the heck he is. About the way he moves hesitantly at first, I have a feeling he wants to talk to Keito, but Ando's presence made him charge at Keito for fear of being seen.
And man! Dig the expression Hiro made when Takezo takes off his pants to pee! I love that moment! It is going to be fun, having a quirky idea to put Hiro into the past. I want to see more of him and how hard it is going to be to actually make Takezo into a hero. Haha! ( I personally feels it is so much more fun to help Takezo be a hero instead of Hiro being the hero. Things just gets more interesting. As so in esp 2 where Hiro dip Takezo into the water. Ha! )
And about Claire, the cheerleading thing IS getting old and lucky, she is not a CHEERLEADER! AGAIN. ^-^ Issit just me or are the writers putting West and Claire together almost every scene? MAybe they can try giving her some gal friends or something? Show a little normal school life, like hanging out with girl friends or something, lol. HRG just got a lot more interesting than the first season. Lol, the finger! The scene is great! Poor Lyle though, he still remains in the background. Even his mom has more screentime then him. ( Taking in mind season 1 ) Just wish to see more of him. He looks...special. Anyone who can still remain sane after all that happen to his family and around him is special dude!
About Matt, we get to see his fatherly side, seeing him fuss over Molly. And of course, congrats on finally being a 'detective'. Maybe there will be more actions scenes from now on.
Maya and Alejandro is a nice add to the story, injecting some " evil " power other then what Sylar have. The black tears would be perfect for goth perfectionist. Think that will be their ideal death. Lol! I am pretty interested at how they will find Mohinder though. She is a little like Ted though, having an unstable power. Ted can't be stressed, or else he cannot control and cause an explosion. Just like Maya. No stress for her, or else you will die, goth-like and all.
Overall, this esp just makes me yearn for more. Dish them out, Tim Kring!! XD
Posted: Sat Sep 29, 2007 3:13 pm Post subject: When Kaito Nakamura died...did you hear anything...odd?
Hey guys, just wondering if anybody else heard anything strange when Kaito Nakamura died.... I swear when they showed his body on the concrete (at around the 50 minute mark) that you can hear a baby cry out twice... but maybe I'm just hearing things...
Sonds like part of the atmostpheric music to me there are similar sounds throughout that whole rooftop encounter. But I could be mistaken. It certainly is an odd sound.
I reckon you're right dude, I'm probably just over analyzing it, hehe kinda like all the fans ob the LOST forums... looking for clues that aren't there
2. The boogie in the hoodie is Nathan (Peter). At both points in the episode nathan was in a position to put the picture with the symbol into the hands of Mr. Nakamuri, and Mrs. Patrelli. IF you watch on the street, Nathan passes Ando as he's going to give the newspaper to Mr. Nakamuri. And.... Nathan is the one who enters the house first, so he could have posted the picture outside on the wall. Nathan (really peter) would have many reason to want to get back at his mother, and anyone who was in on blowing up NYC.
1. They killed his brother.
2. They wanted blow up NYC.... ENUF SAID
3. He know's they are evil
I love the idea that Nathan is the assassin (although I disagree with the notion that it is Peter in disguise). It makes all the sense in the world as Nathan had intimate knowledge of the plot to blow up New York. He would know all the major players in the "Mutant Council" and, given his mental state over the loss of his brother, would seek revenge on them as he would deem their actions as "evil". It is apparent that Mr. Nakimuri knew his killer as he mentioned that, out of all the people, that it would be "him". My guess is that he was commenting on the irony, considering Nathan almost went through with the plan. Ando not seeing the assassin after they went over the edge of the building would also make sense as Nathan would have just flown away. It also sets up some pretty good scenes when Peter finds out his older brother killed Mom.
I would also like to cast my vote as West being the bad guy for this season. I just seems way too coincidental that he has taken a special interest in Claire. Why is he so insistent on her revealing her "specialness"? It seems that West has had an agenda from the start. It would be ironic that the group that is trying the hardest to lay low happen to move into the Boogeyman's backyard. I get the feeling that West knows who Claire is and what she is capable of. More importantly, he may know who Claire's father is and his connection to Molly. Just a though, but it seems that there is more heartache and loss on the way for Claire...
Ok I just rewatched the episode. I'm changing my opinion on who Nathan see in the mirror at the bar. After watching it again, I believe it is indeed Nathan. I'm wondering if he indeed got injured from Peter exploding and then someone healed him? Also something else that is puzzling to me is how Hiro who just teleported to the past has no desire to go back and see how the conflict played out. I guess he assumes everything is fine and the others finished off Sylar.
... SO glad Peter finally got a haircut. Someone was reminded of John Doe (which I think I remember vaguely); I was reminded of the Bourne Identity. The thieves didn't expect that Peter was responsible for the iPods being missing, but that whoever took them left him in there, so he should know something ...
Now that I've seen the previews on-line for next week's episode, I know that the Irish guys really are asking Peter what HE did with the iPods. This doesn't make much sense to me, but maybe they think he took the iPods and was betrayed by a business associate and left in the crate to take the fall. They might wonder why, if he didn't have anything to do with it, did he end up in their crate out of all those out there. And he's all they have to work with.
I'm really going to miss Peter's hair. Call me crazy, but he looks disappointingly normal now.
I'm not saying the whole messy, flap-about, in-your-eyes hair was an appealing style, but it was definitely part of his naive, un-matured, lost-puppy-esque character.
With the new (and yes, better) hairstyle, he looks a bit more grown-up and worldly. I just hope his character retains that postadolescent naivety.
Sorry to make a post entirely about hairstyle, but it had to be said Afterall, we all know Peter's hair is big news...
I was actually really pleased with the season premiere. Maybe this is because I didn't have any expectations for it. I also think it's funny how every keeps saying the show hasn't answered any questions. It was only the first episode.Did anyone really expect for them to wrap up all of last seasons question in an hour? As long as they don't drag this on all season like the show Lost (ugh) I'm ok with it. It gives me a reason to continue watching
I really think that Hiro is going to become the hero he read about as a child. does anyone remember the painting Isacc did of him fighting a dragon? in season 1?! We still haven't seen that and we know it's going to happen.
Oh and am i the only one who thinks Peter might be the bad guy Molly dreams about?
