1. Nathan saw a reflection of a disfigured Peter in the mirror.
I really think Nate was seeing a disfigured image of himself in that mirror. I watched it like 3 times and paused it to look really close. I think that's what he think he would look like if he would have stayed with the bomb
But... this theory probably won't work as its quite hard to believe that both Peter and Sylar got Candice power at the same time..... unless Sylar had eaten her Brain before their confrontation in season 1 finale.
Anyway, its nice to see someone who share the same thoughts.
If you'll remember, Peter and Sylar didn't meet Candice at the end of season 1. The only person to run into Candice at that time was Niki, while searcing the Kirby building for Micah.
The only time that we're assumed that someone met Candice is in episode 20, 5 Years Gone, when Sylar/Nathan alludes to 'finding' Candice, and being able to take on other forms.
But in the "real" timeline, she's never met by either of them, so that theory isn't going to work right now. It may work later on, but for now, Candice is still at large, and Sylar's out there somewhere, and Peter's chained up in a container somewhere in Ireland.
Now that we are off task........... in " How to stop an exploding man" Niki (yes it was Niki) Knocked Candice out, i was wondering why she didnt revert to her true form.......
HA HA HA i guess thats another question that season 2 episode 1 didnt answer, i guess i should start hating the writers for not doing what i want.
Sorry if this has been said already and I missed it, but at the point Nathan looked in the mirror and saw the disfigured face I thought he was Sylar and that Nathan died when Peter went nuclear. It would set up the events in "Five Years Gone" where President Petrelli is really Sylar right?
"Five Years Gone" I think is what would have happened only if the bomb had actually blown up NY. So those events won't be happening. I don't think Nathan stayed with Peter when he blew up. I'm sure Peter urged him to get away from him
I tend to agree with that idea. Especially if Peter could concentrate enough to draw on his super strength that he'd absorbed from Niki while at Kirby Plaza. Throwing Nathan away from himself when at a 'reasonably safe' height wouldn't have been too much of an issue. And with Peter's personal bond and love for his brother, I don't think he would have been able to allow Nathan to die with him when he popped.
wow. i really like the first post, i mean i tells me everything in the show that i forgot by 2day beacuse I have been so busy at school. I want to see Slyar, but I think he wont come back into the show til awhile later

Ah good point, I hadn't considered that. It will be interesting to see what the deal is with his disfigured face!
It all looks great, but I have to agree that the whole iPod theft plot does seem a little suspicious...
"Where are the iPods?"?
I don't get it. These guys wanted to steal a crate of merchandise, then found it empty except for a half naked stranger who was locked inside it, bound and handcuffed, and clearly not in possession of any iPods. He doesn't even have shoes! They can't honestly believe he stole and hid the entire contents of the crate, only to throw off his clothes, go back to the crate, seal himself inside (from the outside) and handcuff himself to the wall. These guys don't look particularly stupid. Intense anger might lead them to irrational conclusions, but they don't look that irate either.
Honestly, I don't think they ever thought there were iPods. Well, maybe the lackies did, but the leading guy I think not. I think he orchestrated the scenario as an excuse to stage an interrogation, through which he could beat up and ultimately gain service from the ‘stranger’, who he infact knows very well. That old game; "I believe you stole from us, that puts you in our debt. But I'm willing to let you off and give you your life back if you do this one job for me..."
I think poor Peter’s being taken for a ride. Let’s hope it’s a double-cross =^.^=
I’m new here by the way. Feel free to meet and greet me in the new members section!
That's a nice idea, but I think there's still something larger here than just some Irish thugs wanting to find and hold Peter.
My thought? Angela's still got quite a bit of control and connections out there, and she's separating her two boys, mainly because they both defied her this last time.
When separate, they're more easy to control, and then she can use them as she needs. Give one son, minus his memory, to a comrade, and see what turns up.
Plus, she has a guilt-ridden son in the States who is more easy to pull strings on when he's drunk, and he's also got a family that she can use to manipulate him as well.
Options seem to be building for Angela. I just wonder what this picture with the symbol is going to do for her timeline.. Does she step up her efforts now?
Ok I just started watching Heroes last week and finished season 1 last night and watched the season 2 premier as well. I gotta say for a season premier this episode was a let down. The story with Hiro was pretty boring IMHO. No resolution from last season. Yes I know they want to tell the story over the whole season, but c'mon give us something. To comment on a few reoccurring themes in this thread, I believe when Nathan looked in the mirror it was a burned and scarred Peter he saw, but I'll rewatch it to confirm. I'm wondering who actually killed Hiro's father? I guess Nathan could be a possiblity, but what's his motive? Could he really kill his mother? I thought the introduction of new characters was not the right time except the boy at Claire's school. I was disappointed with the Matt Parkman story. I'd like to know why things didn't work out for him and his wife and what about this son? Does he have any abilities? I thought the amnesia thing with Peter lacks originality. It's been done so many times in so many different shows. Obviously it could still work though, but I think it would also make him vulnerable as if he doesn't know who he his, he's not going to know what powers he has and how to use and control them. We already know he can't control the nuclear power. Overall, it was an okay intro but I hope it picks up next week. It just didn't live up to the hype for me!
