If you want to achieve signnificant recognition in the sport, you should consider calling it footbag.

really you play with a footbag and the game my be called as such i.e.; hacy sack, 3-peg, 21's, World, ect

I don't kick much, myself. And sorry if I read like a jerk a little earlier. I've just been scolded by someone who was the president or some other high rank in the American governing body of footbag by referring to it as "hacky sack" in front of him.
