Wow. Hmm. I guess it sucks to be Hampton Connolly.
Can we assume that was Bob - based on the shadowy face and the fact that poor "Goose" was turned into gold? I'm going to assume it was.
Main thing I'm taking away from this one: Don't piss Bob off if you are within arm's reach. Otherwise you'll wind up melted down and filling the company coffers!
I guess this also shows that he can do more than transmute other metals into gold. But we still don't really know if he can have an end product other than gold. |

| Yeah this really showed me that Bob isn't as "pure" as he leads on. Interesting GN for me. I can't wait to read the rest of the story. I don't follow the Heroes game so this Richard Drucker character is interesting to me, but I have no clue about him. |

Drucker is the one that Hana and Micah have been tracking in the computers. However, Drucker also seems to have something much deeper than just the computers in his history. I'd say that the one who hasn't been beaten by Adam would definitely be someone of Drucker's character. What do you all think? After all, in the last GN Adam said that he'd outlived everyone, save one.. And now we're being introduced even more to Drucker. I'd say that we're getting to see Adam's adversary in the longevity department.
I also agree that Bob's not as much of a mundane person as we were led to believe. He seems to be just as ruthless as Noah when it comes to being an operative for the company. What else has he got hidden in his past? |

Yeah, that was Bob. The easter egg confirms as much : http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/downloads/chapter67_ee.jpg

That was referring to Hiro. He didn't outlive Hiro because Hiro timetraveled back to his own time. Present Hiro has yet to die.

This thread has everything you need to know about the Drucker storyline. I linked to the beginning of the updates concerning Drucker. Read through to the last page, because we're still getting scraps of info on the dude.
All in all, I thought this was a very vicious side of Bob. I thought it was bad enough when he didn't even hesitate to turn poor ol' Goose to gold, but to just turn around and chuck him in the melting doohickey? Harsh!
Although this does make good on the writers' promise that we'd see more of Bob's power. I didn't really expect this, though. I was kind of hoping his power extended to other things than gold. Oh well. |

We might still see more. After all, his power might not just be related to gold. However, I'm of the idea that he's got the "Midas Touch", and is going to be the transmuter we all assumed he'd wind up being.
Nice thing about Bob's ability is the fact that he can turn it on and off at will, so he's not going to slowly starve to death because everything he touches won't automatically turn into gold. Unlike poor Midas..
Anyway, what else did you think they were going to do with Goose? They were going to need to hide the body somewhere, and with him being pure gold, there weren't many places to stash him..
Sure, he'd have made an interesting statue, but someone would've noticed that he didn't match the other occidental sculptures at some point, and come to wonder about a missing castaway..
So even though the methods were harsh, they were necessary in order to accomplish his goals. Much like something Noah would do if he needed to cover his tracks..
I see quite a few similarities between Bob and Noah at the moment.. |

Really, I don't see a point in doing anything with him other than melting him down. I doubt Bob could restore him to life (although it may be possible - who knows?). And he wasn't a particularly attractive statue, now was he? (Especially with a frozen look of pain/horror on his face!)
So the best thing to do would be melt him down so you got some use out of him! |

How long ago would you estimate that they crashed in Bhutan? How did Hampton come by a computer? Apparently Bob used some sort of "tracker" to find him through the computer -- that's why Drucker left.... Remember Drucker can coomunicate with Hanah over the internet, etc....
Interesting twists here..... |
