A tale about Adam Monroe living as a mercenary to prevent boredom.
In the ruins of a battle he finds Evan, a man who claims to be un-killable.
Adam runs Evan through and a large battle starts. Adam's men eventually abandon him. While killing as many as he can, Adam realizes he has killed Evan a second time.
to be continued... |

Speaking for myself, not only have the episodes picked-up, but this GN more than makes-up for what we haven't been given in the last few. Hopefully we will be given some interesting background on Adam Monroe and some character development. I am really starting to like his character.
I wonder if we'll ever see Evan again, or if Adam will kill Evan for GOOD. |

I think this GN is going to be the setup for Nakamura vs. Monroe: Adam is going to find out how he can be killed, because he's gonna kill this guy.
Digging deeper, though, we really begin to see that immortality is not sitting well with Adam Monroe. The comment he made about destroying the vile humanity around him (or something similar) was very telling. Is this still his mindset? He thinks he is a "god": that can't be healthy. |

I tend to agree with you Stoney.
In his time as an immortal, Adam's going to come across quite a few unique individuals. As such, he's going to have a knowledge and understanding of these people and their abilities beyond what even HRG seems to know right now. After all, back in those days, as long as you had the money and the influence, folks didn't care what you did with the "abnormal" folks, as long as they didn't have to hear about it.
So I'd say that Adam's got quite a bit of a head start on everyone else concerning the various powers that are out and about.
This is just one for the record books that we're getting to see. |

This my thinking as well. We're going to find out how you kill someone like him! I think this GN was pretty good! Can't wait for the next one! |

I dunno... someone suggested that this could be a story about a person with a multiple man power, and that's what it seems like in a sense to me too...
Though it could also be about another regenerator...
We shall see... |

| Just imagine, if I had that multiple man power, I would lock my original self in a cave somewhere... just in case my other selves were wiped out. |

| But imagine -- what if it took power to divide yourself, and every time one of the others got killed, you died some also. I mean there have to be some downsides to the power also, don't you think? It can't be all super-duper, can it? So anyhow, that means, you can't lock yourself in the cave, you have to control the others into a winning strategy! |

LMAO; Yea, ur stuck in the cave. Now u make more copies of yourself and set them to digging you out, lol.
I don't know about the Multiple Man theory; wouldn't you have to be near enough to them to control them (your doubles)? Seems like they were spread pretty far apart . . . |

| Well, in the comics, didn't each multiple of Multiple Man have its own personality and mind? |

| Yes, comics are our reference books for a show like this, but let's think about such a power as "Multiplicity" realistically: the original would have to be in control of all copies at all times, right? Once control was lost, or once concentration on said multiple was let lapse, wouldn't that copy cease to be? I don't see someone actually making fully functioning independent copies of themself; there'd be no telling which was the original!! There's no guarantee that each copy would make the same choice as the original; in the same situation, you or I might make a different choice about a given situation every time. Given the premise in this season of the "expanded power", that would make a person with the multiplicity power COMPLETELY unpredictable. If the "original" were destroyed in a given situation, whatever plan might've been made would possibly be thrown out the window. |
