This GN is set in the future Peter visited, and actually doesn't mention or show any other major characters from the show.
It follows an official from the Department of Homeland Security, Howard Lemay, along with his wife and son. They're trying to get to another quarantined area in Detroit, but they're low on gas. When they reach a gas station, a blonde man with a mask and a shotgun appears, threatening to shoot Howard. When Howard explains who he is, the man (Dylan) wants to go with them, insisting he's pretty much "quarantined" because he hasn't seen anyone in at least 10 days and that he left his town when the first case was contracted, making him the only survivor.

When they get to Detroit, Howard can't help but have a bad feeling. He sends everyone inside so he can radio officials in Atlanta. As he's outside, all of a sudden everyone inside starts freaking out. Dylan has the virus, and the quarantine's been breached. His wife begs him to let them out, but Howard says he can't, and he padlocks the door and walks away, worried that he might have the virus.

All in all, extremely depressing. I don't know if I have much to say about it, except that it's final confirmation that yes, the virus mutated to affect everyone, special or not.

It was certaintly dark and depressing. It was almost like Howard didn't even think twice about locking his family up. There really isn't a whole lot I can think of to say about this GN. It does a good job of depicting a bleak future though.

So, did this GN offer up anything that will help us understand the whole outbreak business storyline we will be seeing in the coming weeks? Other that the virus is airborne? Hmmm.....

The GN gives us a broader feeling for how bad the pandemic is. They might still tie it in closer to the series, but there have been plenty of GN's which didn't really come to anything. I read somewhere that they aren't putting anything in the GN's or 360 content that is critical to following the TV show.

Sad to say, it looks like it's going to be another case of Claire-ism..

"Find the cheerleader, Save the world" is now going to be the tagline...

Anyway, I'd have to say that this GN was quite dark and very depressing. It sets a good stage for us to see how Peter is going to rally folks to stop the potential future that he's just witnessed..

After going back to Heroeswiki today to read it again, I also saw there was another GN released yesterday. I guess they said it has something to do with Heroes Evolutions or something. Anyone seen this?
