they really are the most likely characters too in a way. Niki has always been put as someoen who is on neither side. who is either good or bad but never midline. And maury well he seemed to be using niki as a protege (sp?). he saw her as the most mallible person because for one she already thinks shes insane and wont question what she sees and two everyone else already knows shes not just niki so wodlnt think shes controlled. As i said wehn the ep first aired he jsut didnt know how suicidal she was
but yes i can see them still doing that and having her teamed on maurys side and hte side of the villians. Any one of her personalities or all of them.
They may go down that road still, but again, it seems to me like Niki is going to be a hero this season. She's already been a villain technically and with the promos and everything it doesn't seem like she's a villain when she is so shocked at something.
Also, even though when she's at the company (i think), she is wearing that dark outfit, the extras on the dvd have her wearing this cardigan (which she wore in the behind the scenes promo), which i don't think is villainish. And then, that picture with Nathan on set, she doesn't seem evil their as well. This maybe all wrong though.
Anybody find the coincidence?
12 escapees?
12 FOUNDERS of The Company?
Hmm...
Yeah, I thought about that and figure all 12 founders locked up each of the prisoners originally.

I agree...well in the most important part. I mean I think she'll end up being a hero, but she won't start off along that path. She'll be used by Maury to do his work, then Niki will come to and once she realizes what she's doing, she'll become that hero.
Since it hasn't been brought up yet, about Daphne, what's everyone's thoughts on her stealing that chemical chart?

Yeah, that would be cool - like each one of the escapees was personally caught by one member of the original 12, and the escapees are now prepared for revenge...
...too bad most of the original 12 are dead already, lol.

One thing's for certain - her storyline better have some substance to it considering that it seems like she appears in the series out of nowhere, like seriously out of left field. I mean, maybe The Company has been keeping tabs on Kaito/Hiro until one of them pulled out this 'sacred' chemical chart, whatever the heck it is. And the chart itself better have a significant meaning to it, unlike the anti-climactic "ARE YOU ON THE LIST" period of time during Season 1.
I think that the chemical chart is one that shows something like an 'X' and 'Y' grid of abilities and what would happen if you were to put those two together to create offspring. Furthermore, as Kaito said only a pure-blood can protect the Heroes, and I think that Hiro will have to decipher just WHO the pure-blood is using the chart. Just my 2 cents!
On a side note, here's a quick little theory - I think one of the ways for defeating Daphne will be for Hiro to have to learn how reverse time on her in the same way that he did for the gun and bullet back during "Unexpected" in Season 1. We know that he can't freeze time on her, unless he knows well ahead of time when she's approaching.
I like it about the X and Y chart. Given that they say it's a complicated chemical chart, it could be how to determine what abilities belong to each person based on a bunch of different variables like the abilities of the adults, or rather their chart. Maybe like a list of DNA strands and how they combine to create each individuals ability/ies.
I just thought of something, Kaito's ability. If he can see all possible outcomes, that would explain how they got so much information. Maybe his ability doesn't allow him to expect human behavior, but rather all the different variables needed to solve problems like this chart.
If Chandra, a non-powered scientist, could figure out where each of these specials lived (as seen on his map), then I'm sure that Kaito, a special with the ability to forsee outcomes, can take Chandra's formula one step further and actually figure out who to mix and match in order to create 'maximum potential,' and where to find those people (that is, if they weren't a part of The Company already. I think Kaito probably created the chart himself and actually figured out all of it's criss-cross calculations.
Thoughts?

Haven't been here in a while (other than lurking ) but its getting close to season 3 so I thought I'd post some random thoughts.
That's cool that it seems like we're finally going to be figuring out what Angela and Kaito's abilities are, most likely. I wonder if that means they'll let us know what Virctoria Pratt's ability was too. I feel like they really dropped the ball on that, unless they plan on letting us know later. Her character and the scenes with her in season 2 seemed absolutely useless to me.
As far as the villians go, it seems more and more like there's gonna be a 1 to 1 main hero to main villain ratio, which to me sounds pretty cool. The everyone against Sylar in season 1 and everyone against Adam and Peter in season 2 was cool, but I feel like it's time to introduce more villains to balance things out. So itll be Hiro against superspeed girl, Matt against his dad possibly, Sylar against Claire, Peter against his future self, Monica against Knox, and Jessica against who knows, possibly Adam/Kensai.
And I wonder where Angela and the company fit into all of this. Who's side will they be on? My thoughts are they'll have to join with the good guys at least for the time being to prevent utter chaos when the villains escape level 5. And what about Echo? I doubt the webisodes are the last we hear of him. I wonder who he'll be pitted against. Who would best counter his ability? And hopefully the Hatian will be back and Nathan will learn to do something other than fly. I like the theories that he develops some sort of weather control ability. For some reason that seems to go along with his religious zealot spin that's been in recent spoilers.
Interesting ideas: I have to believe that Hiro should be able to go back in time and to just before Daphne takes the paper and be able to get it back. I mean, c'mon, the guy can teleport. All he has to do is go back in time take the paper and immediately teleport out of there!
As for Nathan Petrelli. It will be interesting to see how his powers develop from basic 'flying'. I wonder if he'll be able to make other things fly by levitation. How does flying go to the next level? Super Sonic? Skin becomes resistant to Friction due to being able to also fly high speed?
Looks like those spoilers that Kristen gave us about him being like Spiderman, were very true! Except Maya is in it! I think Mohinder is going to use and abuse his powers!
