I'm not really sure as to why she would be back for episode 1. We know that Hiro doesn't travel to the past - he travels to the future. Maybe it's some sort of flashback?
However, Hiro travelling to the future occurs during the first hour of episode one. Maybe he travels back in time after going to the future?
Yeah, it's a little bit odd. This is where the cast list for "The Butterfly Effect" is posted. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1185907/fullcredits#cast I'm still trying to figure out the name of the ep since it showed up as "A Second Coming" in the one shown at Comic-con, but spoilers a while back had it as "The Butterfly Effect", so either the scene showing him walking towards the press conference where we see the title was inserted there solely for the comic-con version and the title will be shown somewhere else, or it's the actual name.
Oh, just suddenly remembered about that post about Sylar being a Petrelli. While I agree that Sylar being a Petrelli would shock most everyone (except for those who have thought of it already), it just seems like one of those "more obvious" paths. The two most commonly thought of for who her third child has been talked a lot between Hiro and Sylar. The lesser talked about are the villains, and I'd prefer to go down that path then Hiro or Sylar. Hiro and Sylar are two of my fave characters, but I just don't want it to be someone that could be expected.

I really like the idea of Sylar being a Petrelli! What would be even better is he and Peter working together to really kick some serious arse. I would love to see them fighting a team of the "kill squad" or several of the Villians, etc...
One thing I don't understand and I haven't seen it mentioned is this:. Is it possible that Sylar absorbed Daphne's power to create illusions? I don't think he would have been able to because he couldn't cut her head open. (although it appears the writers left that open to possibility )

Well, that'd be Candice/Michelle who created illusions, not Daphne. And they said that he can't. It's just because his ability wasn't working, so he couldn't actually find the part of the brain to activate the illusions.
BTW, anyone remember that pic i posted a while ago where i compared the shillouettes of the "twelve sylars running around" to Maury and Niki? And guessed the other two discenable shadows were Knox and Adam?

I doubt that will be the path they are going down though, unless it was a dream sequence. It is just that hearing (from those spoilers from the set) that, Milo came in covered in blood after being shot and Ali came in covered in blood with her throat slashed, seems like Ali maybe a hero this year, not a villain! Who knows, well Tim and crew do!?!

Yeah, I mentioned that's what was shown in the ep showed at comic-con, but I'm wondering if they used "The Second Coming" because it was only one hour long? They did the same thing with the unaired pilot (which I can't seem to remember it's name).
