I'm finally about to go and check out each and every preview my sorry butt has missed! In the meantime, while I reflect and put my thoughts into words, munch on these two things:

Now that I think about it, Def's theory about someone having a "body-switch" or "body-snatching" ability would be an EXCELLENT power for a villain to have. Not just simple mind control, but the ability to transfer your 'soul,' your consciousness, to someone else's body. Just think about it for a sec - a villain being able to go from body to body – it would be nearly impossible to truly catch him/her. You could commit a crime as a middle-aged man one minute, switch bodies, and walk to school as a kid in the next.

The body-switching has got me thinking other things in regards to what we've seen in the series, in particular "Five Years Gone." Sure, the future may not be "written in stone," but that doesn't mean that the same end result couldn't happen with a different set of events in the middle... meaning, instead of acquiring illusion, Sylar could acquire the body-switch ability, and then snatch up Nathan's body when he becomes president.

Anybody ever watch Space Cases on Nickelodeon back in the mid-90s? There was a character who could sort of do just that - her name was Suzee, and she could transmit her consciousness into another person's body to see what they were thinking and what they knew in terms of information. Anyway, I digress...

Now, my response to all of the ridiculous spoilers!...

In regards to the pictures of Future Claire shooting Future Peter - I didn't see any pictures where the gun is pointed directly at Peter, so perhaps they're working together. On the other hand, Future Peter a la THESE PICTURES for example, does not look like the Peter we know, and the jacket gives it away for me. The jacket is too... 'show off'... too 'big shot'... too "EVIL"... which makes me think that maybe it's not the real Peter. There are only 3 possibilities I can think of right now (1) it's Deftones' body-switching theory coming to life and someone has stolen Peter's body, (2) it's actually Future Sylar using illusion to disguise himself as Peter, (3) Future Peter has acquired the "duplication" ability that we have seen in the Graphic Novel, and this "evil" version of Peter is a copy of himself, or lastly (4) Peter has indeed turned bad.

Now, we have the think about this for a second. With all of this talk about Future Peter and Future Claire being 'bad', there must be A PRETTY DECENT REASON as to why they became like that. So maybe it's not that they're "EVIL," it's just that they're trying to save their own timeline. My thoughts? I think Future Peter and Future Claire are agents for The Company. They're not good, nor bad... they're 'gray.' They do what they're told to do. That's all.

As for Matt in the desert with a tortoise and "no name," if that spoiler is true, it's pretty clear that he will be mindwiped, IMO. Kac, I like your analogy comparing Maury to the Shadow King in X-Men... after all, the Shadow King and the Boogeyman share similarities, especially in appearance. Considering that Jeph Loeb has been an integral part of comics for the past however-many-decades, Maury's character could very well be based off of Shadow King.

BY THE WAY, in THIS preview, I'm not sure if anybody picked up on it, but it's not Present Peter that says, "Where'd they go" (referring to the escaped prisoners), it's FUTURE Peter. You can clearly see the collar of his leather jacket when Angela says the word "Escaped," the same leather jacket that Future Peter was wearing in the pictures of him with Claire (see above). My theory?

I think FUTURE PETER is working together with PRESENT ANGELA. Cool

You heard it here first!

Perhaps this is around the time when Peter may be body-swapped - after all, spoilers indicate that the bald guy who says, "I am Peter Petrelli" was in Level 5, and the most convenient time and place to do a body switch would be there with all of the other escapees helping out.

Anyway, thoughts?

this is what i think....first off SPACE CASES, yes i remember the show, infact, i remember all shows/movies, i am the movie/show master...

yes suzee, and her 'imaginary friend' (whom ended up being UBER sessy) (at the time of course, i'm sure she was jailbait-ish)

anywhoo.....remember the eps where EVERYONE switched bodies? (well..became each other kinda) and everyone had to cope with 'new found' shat? specifically the black power ranger guy had the SUPER HEARING, but couldnt control it, and it caused him pain...not sure where i'm goin with this but it was cool to remember

as for angela+future peter...not sure about the rest of you but as SOON as i saw it (the first time) i knew it was future peter...strange thing is i didnt really go "OMG FUTURE PETER!" i was just "wow...angela and future peter" maybe i thought the events were taking place in the future and didnt really care too much..

that being said, i realllllllyyy hate the idea of certain characters being like 'someone else' i dont mind the body snatching but i dont want a 5YG thing, where..."what the heck peter/claire are acting strange" and then "OH!! it was candice's power!" (or similar circumstance) what would be awesome beyond anything is if it turns out to be future sylar...i'd be SOOOOO happy

PK, In the promo "Choose your side" F. Claire is DEFINATELY pointing the gun right at F. Peter. no mistaking it. Also, spoilers released before the pictures said just that.

Also, its already been theorized that F. Peter is working with Present Angela. I know I saw it on 9th Wonders and a few other places... silly PK, you can't be out of the loop for so long and think you're the first to think of something! This is the internet! Wink

btw i just came back from seeing "the dark knight" 'best..batman movie...ever" and no bs, the hype about ledger's acting...it SPOT ON best batman virrain ever

i am done. ps...i'm not a batman fan really, i like superhiros/comics/shows/movies n stuff...the promo in the beginning of the movie for ____ is shweeeeeeet cant wait

In Space Cases, Suzee started off as Catalina's imaginary friend, but Suzee was actually a real person who in a different dimension, until one day something happened where Catalina and Suzee switched dimensions and Suzee joined the crew while Catalina was transported to Suzee's dimension. Anyway... back to Heroes, lol

I agree with the your opinion on Candice's power, Def. If it's overused, the show will begin to go downhill, which is why I think (and HOPE) that Sylar hasn't acquired illusion. We have no reason to believe that he did, because he didn't have any of his powers when he had the virus (not even intuitive aptitude) so I think the series is safe so long as Sylar didn't absorb Candice's power.

As for the Future Peter/Present Angela alliance theory, Action... well, maybe you didn't hear it here first... but you did hear it here... um, second? Fifth? Eleventh?? Haha, whatever! It just goes to show that despite my hiatus from Heroes spoiler-universe, I have not become rusty with my theorizing!

Now, as for Future Claire pointing the gun at Future Peter... BLASTED! I totally missed that last bit in the preview!! I just saw it now though and wow was I floored. Thanks for the heads up Action man!

My theory on Future Claire shooting Future Peter? I think that because of the turn of events in the present timeline, and the fact that it doesn't seem like HRG will be 'hiding' Claire from The Company like he did in "Five Years Gone," I think that Claire will begin working for The Company, maybe in exchange for her father's/family's safety, who knows. Thus, because Present Claire is working for The Company, Future Claire now is too. So now we have the Claire part down. As for Future Peter, it's supposedly already been theorized ( Wink

)that F. Peter will be working with Present Angela, but the fact of the matter is this: Future Peter is probably working with Present Angela to save his own timeline, and NOT actually working for The Company in his own Future timeline like F. Claire is. We've already seen in "Five Years Gone" that F. Peter/F. Hiro are being pursued by The Company. Thus if F. Claire works for The Company and she gets her hands on F. Peter (like in the preview), she will probably kill him because there's no other way to stop him. She will be more likely to kill him especially if she/The Company (in the future) discovers that Peter's been travelling through time and messing with events.

Thus, my theory as to why F. Claire attempts to shoot F. Peter is that F. Claire works for The Company and F. Peter does not (he only works for Present Angela) and that he is being pursued by The Company in the Future, just like he was in "Five Years Gone." If this is the case, I GUARANTEE that F. Claire will say something like, "You remember that day we met Ted, Matt, and my father in Kirby Plaza? Well, that was the day you told me where to shoot you if I wanted to kill you... you really shouldn't have told me that... *BLAM*!!!"

What's REALLY interesting for me though is how Present Angela would get hooked up with Future Peter in the first place. I'm guessing that F. Peter just visited her one day, and knowing what her son can do, she wasn't surprised in the slightest bit,. He probably had a message he had to tell her about the Future, which is probably what struck up their alliance in the first place - something like, "Hey Ma, if you do this, something terrible is going to happen, so we have to work together and stop it from coming to pass."

IMO, that's a great move on the writers behalf to surprise us with such an alliance in a season based on 'good vs. evil.' For me, however, I think that Future Peter vs. Present Peter will not be an 'evil vs. good' issue, but rather an issue about 'experienced vs. inexperienced.' Meaning this - Future Peter knows and has seen what will happen if certain events take place, thus he is probably willing to do anything (even become 'morally gray' and kill/harm those who stand in his way) in order to stop those events from happening. I don't think Present Peter, on the other hand, is at that level yet - I think he's still just trying to do the "right" and "moral" thing and is only concerned with the present, not with the future. Until Present Peter is willing to take some lives and become 'morally gray,' the future will bite him in the butt. I think Future Peter is trying to prevent this bite in the butt for Present Peter.

Did that make any sense?

There have been such an onslaught of spoilers/previews over the past month that I am totally intimidated. I am at the point where I am so excited to see hwat happens but with so much going on now I'm just happy to wait and see what happens.

also to add to your theory...i think you might be right as far as...the company trying to kill peter

seeing as how he can time travel and all this is what i think...they tell claire in the present to "remember this date in the future..u must kill peter" then somehow, maybe through angela or even present claire...future peter has to go to the future again to gain info/stop something or SOMETHING....when he goes..future claire is there (he assumes shes still a good guy) and BAAM ...its kind of the only way to stop a time traveler w/o the haitian...its to know EXACTLY when he'll travel+ where he'll be etc...infact, they could even have the haitian WITH claire in the room when he travels...boom appears in the future to claire "ok claire.....u need to come with me..." (or something) *nothing happens* "what the..." *haitian steps around the corner* "omg" "i always loved u peter" *shoots future peter* now its up to present day everyone bye bye future peter

i think that whatever the reason she is pointing the gun at peter i think it will be imn a future episode such as 5 years gone......peter is just too important to the storyline for it to be present peter imo. i know that everyone gets annoyed with the writers aparrent dumbing down of peter and making him perpetually stupid and an idealist but he and sylar is the two that people are waiting to collide and i just cant see them killing off either of them even for the next 3 seasons.....

well done again pk thats a brilliant idea
that would be better than a clash between sylar and peter! but who would win that? the obvious answer would be f/peter tho, but you know that the writers will base it alot on emotions, therefore would most likely be either a draw or p/peter winning. as the only emotion that f/peter ever seemed to show was remorse and anger. where as peter has trusting emotions and love.

how brilliant would it be i f/peter came back to prevent something and got killed by himself........i wonder if the writers would have ever thought of that?

If the F. Claire/F. Peter shooting is supposed to happen in the first episode of the season, here are my thoughts:
It obviously doesn't make sense to have F. Peter shot and killed in the first episode since it looks like he will be playing a big part in the upcoming season. Thus, if F. Peter does not heal from the bullet, I believe the season will be somewhat of a flashback where we see what F. Peter has been doing, especially in regards to the present timeline with Angela. But it won't really be a flashback because the timeframe we will be shown is ACTUALLY the present! It will be a flashback only in relation to the F. Claire/F. Peter scene.

P.S. Why does everyone always get killed off in the "Future" episodes? C'mon writers... change it up a little!

Lastly, something I noticed when rewatching Season 1 tonight. In episode 2 entitled "Don't Look Back," Angela says to Peter, "You've always been my favorite. I can't lose you." Well, here's my theory - I think we will find out that Future Peter has been working with Present Angela for a LONG TIME, as opposed to the theory it's a recently formed alliance. If this is the case, then I think that this sentimental scene in episode 2 is actually just a bunch of acting on Angela's part, and that she's just BS'ing Present Peter. If Future Peter really has been working with Present Angela for a while, then I think her sentimentality towards Present Peter in episode two only served to try to keep P. Peter alive so that F. Peter stays alive as well. By telling Peter that he's her favorite, it might make him more careful when trying stupid things with his powers, because if P. Peter dies, so does F. Peter, which would mean she would no longer have help from F. Peter.

Similarly, when Angela starts sobbing over Present Peter's dead body in ".07%", I don't believe she's thinking, "My favorite son, I lost you, and I loved you so much." I believe she's thinking, "Peter, you're gone, which means your future-self is too, and he was the only one who could save us. We are all doomed."

In regards to P. Peter, I think the only thing Angela is concerned with is that he stays alive. F. Peter is her REAL "favorite."

wait yea...we see claire (future) kill peter (future) and then later in the season its present claire present peter...to save the 'world' again...present peter must die, we see the 'same' scene but just a bit differently..bye bye peter, he's OUTTA here (that'd be so awesome)
