Is it just me, or is each and every "future" character a bit more dark and twisted than the character we're used to seeing?
Future Hiro is seriously bent. Using his power to search time and space for the one key moment to stop a specific series of events, then joining a fight to free himself from custody..
Peter, all angst-y and bitter.. Nice scar and attitude to match.. Living with Niki/Jessica/Gina/whomever...
Matt, turned against his own, and hunting them down. Fighting WITH the Haitian instead of against him...
Noah, using his connections to help people with powers escape the clutches of the Company, instead of his "bag and tag" prowess.. (quite against what we'd come to expect from him at the time!)
Maybe there's some major point we haven't seen yet that causes these drastic changes? After all, SOMETHING had to happen to make these characters harder and more cynical.
I can hardly wait to see where they're going to go with this storyline, but I really do hope they get it right this time, instead of start a bunch of stories, and try to jumble-tie it all together at the end like last season......
I mean, really! We waited an extra season just to see if they could correct the mistakes, so with the added time, we should be seeing a nearly perfect season 3, shouldn't we??
Sadly, I afraid by the spoilers I am seeing, the show might be going in a direction this viewer doesn't like.
That doesn't mean I won't give it a chance at the beginning of the year -- I will. But I am afraid, the show I came to know and love in the first season might be gone.
And of course, that doesn't mean that other viewers won't like the show. All of you, will probably like it more than me.
I am just wondering, where did the wonderful first season story lines go?
And I am with you Action... I thought Micah was done -- so was his mom. I dunno what happened there.
We'll find more, I am sure. San Diego Comic Con is coming up.
Today I come fresh from BBC Two's Autumn launch, where us journo types were treated to a world exclusive, never-seen-before, you-will-be-castrated-if-you-secretly-record-this-and-upload-it-to-youtube preview of Heroes season three. As I value my intimate regions quite highly, I'm afraid that what follows is the best I can do. A warning: spoiler-phobes should look away now.
Nathan Petrelli is apparently dead. We see him rushed to hospital, where resuscitation attempts fail. "There was nothing we could do," a doctor tells the family. I don't believe it.
Looks like Elle (Kristen Bell) is going to be spending a bit of time sparring with Sylar this season.
Angela Petrelli introduces us to "Level 5", a housing place for the most dangerous criminals in the world - rapists, arsonists, killers. Presumably this is where the band of Villains escape from.
Matt Parkman is alone in the middle of a desert screaming for help.
New Villain 'The Speedster' steals something from Hiro and quips, "Gotta run."
Is Sylar in league with Angela Petrelli? In one short clip he is seen approaching her from behind and placing his hands on her shoulders.
Linderman is back with a prophecy of doom. "The second coming is at hand," he warns.
And, perhaps the most shocking tease of all: a big bald man, incarcerated in Level 5, shouts: "I'm not who you think I am. I'm Peter Petrelli..."
The third season of Heroes will play out on BBC Two and BBC Three (and BBC HD) from the end of September, with a delay of just eight days on the original US broadcast. The season will comprise two "volumes", each containing 13 and 12 episodes respectively.
"I'm Peter Petrelli" -- Sounds like a certain villain has a mind/conscious swapping power... that could be the catalyst we need to see Peter do evil things (even though it's not actually peter doing them...)
I think these spoilers sound nothing short of awesome. Of course I will not judge until we see the episodes but only hearing glimpses from spoilers is certainly not enough to ride a show off.

An artistic African with special abilities is to join Heroes during the upcoming third season.
The Riches actor Ntare Mwine has been cast as the new character, who is said to be close to many of the established heroes and will develop his own abilities in a nine-episode arc.
Season three will begin airing on BBC Two in late September, just days after it is broadcast on NBC in the US.
