In the last scene in the preview for next Monday, we can see Sylar hoisting a cheerleader up on the air... but it isn't Claire, because Claire is approaching him from behind trying to attack him or get him to let go. Who is the other cheerleader? Here's my theory: The other cheerleader is none other than Jackie.
Maybe there are 2 cheerleaders at that school with a special ability, and the other one isnt jackie but a new character. And who is the one to say that Claire is the cheerleader they have to save? Hiro from the future never said the cheerleaders name.

Good point, Morphid. I've seen this girl as well, and thought the same thing at first. However, after realizing that she is only cast to be in the "Homecoming" episode, not to mention that I recall seeing a screen cap of Claire and other cheerleaders in the locker room, so my opinion right now is that this "new" cheerleader is just an extra that maybe Claire is talking to or is standing next to. We shall see in 4 days!!! WOO

Who is the other cheerleader? Here's my theory: The other cheerleader is none other than Jackie. Because she decided to take the credit for saving the man in the train wreckage, Sylar finds out her name through the grapevine and goes after her thinking that she is the one with the special ability. After hoisting Jackie up into the air, Claire goes to attack him, and he telekinetically throws her to the wall, knocking her down for a moment. Sylar saws off Jackie's skull, which is the cause of the blood bath we see that covers claires face and Peter's jacket and the Homecoming sign and the ground and everyyyything, and during this process Sylar looks over at the injured Claire. He notices something unusual... something special... her wounds are healing! How could he be so foolish! Thus, he starts to chase Claire, but not before Peter intervenes to help her escape. Peter and Sylar tango, the cops come, Sylar immediately disappears, and they arrest Peter because he is covered in blood and immediately see him as the suspect. What do you all think?
entirely possible and VERY VERY VERY likely now that I have seen the 8 minute preview!!! Awesome theory!
I have just one issue with this theory. In the spoiler pictures for episode ... 11? ... Six Months Ago, it has a shot of Sylar's board of doom (the map with the peope who have powers) and there's a picture of Claire up on that board. This suggests that Sylar does know about Claire and what she looks like which gives him a headstart on Peter 'cause he has a face and not just a location. If it weren't for this I'd think your theory entirely plausible but it just seems a little unlikely that Sylar would be stupid enough to go after Jackie instead of Claire when he already knows what Claire looks like. I'm thinking Jackie's purpose is more a distraction for Peter, who we see in the 8 minute preview thinks that she is the one with powers, than for Sylar who's been mapping out these people for a long time.

About what Tequihby said: it must be a mistake, or we can say: that pic is a bit old, and most of the cheerleaders look quite similar.
here is a snap shot from the preview of next week that show's the "list" on papa sureshe's computer of all the names.. i know there is a bigger one. anyone have the full list that show's?
