this last episode was definetly good. Micah has powers!?!?!?! and his power is really cool. man how'd he know that he wasn't talking to his real mom? that's crazy.
Hiro finds romance? what's up with that? is this "romance" a distraction from the mission?
Matt's wife is cheating on him? Man that sucks. He should just drop her and get with the FBI chick.
And what's goin' on with Mohinder? Where was he in this episode?
What's Claire's brother gonna do now that he knows? And what is HRG gonna do with Isacc? Are we gonna find out if he's good or bad?
Why is Nathan so dishonest? I wonder what peter's gonna do in this next episode. So many questions!!!! I love this show!!!
ARG! I really liked Nathan's character initially (and he seems to have more common sense than Peter) but why does he have to be so dishonest? Him messing around with Niki was frustrating, and it's already causing him needless trouble.
For a few episodes there it felt like they were just spinning in place; now things feel like they're actually going somewhere. Episode 8 looks great, though it's always hard to pick out from the previews what they will actually show us next week and what they're just using for dramatic trailer filler.
Argh, I hate how they keep showing us clips of things we already know (I know, it makes it harder to predict and ruin it but blah)
Mohinder is at his fathers funeral (He was probably just on a plane this episode) and possibly has some weird revelation and heads back to America?
Micahs powers are so much cooler then we all thought, but has Jessica completely taken over Nikki? I think for the time being she has.
I've decided that Matt's wife is either cheating on him with the man he punched, has some weird power, or is pregnant.
I don't think the pyro guy is all that bad, sure he turned someone into a living (not really) firework display, but he probably just didn't know what he was doing.
Nathan angers me with his refusal of his powers/lies.
I can actually understand nathan. Not cheating on wife. Thats horrible. But with the flying thing: what exactly is he suppose to do with that. He could get into tight security places, and escape relatively easy, but what else. Without truely exploring the possibilities, they seem rather limited with his power (relative to some of the others).
I get the feeling that something is special about his wife. I mean a possible power. I just get that vibe from her. Not Matt's wife though. I never got that from her. She's just skanky.
Anyways, I have to agree that the trailer didn't give us much to go on other than what we knew, or assumed.
Yeah, I actually liked Nathan's whole "What would I do? dress in a costume and pull cats out of trees?" monologue. It was refreshing considering how most comic/film superheroes just sort of fall into what they're supposed to be doing without much trouble or indecision. It makes it seem more realistic when instead you see Nathan feeling like a freak who has something to hide that he has no clue how to use constructively. And he's the first person to mention the "They'll lock us up" scenario. Smart guy.
But also stupid. Oh, so very stupid. And he's worried about Peter ruining his campaign? I think he's creating enough personal liabilities on his own. His wife seems (on very casual acquaintance) to be a really interesting character. I think you're right, Cap'n Colby, there's more of a possibility of something up with her than with Janice, Matt's wife. But it would be a little redundant to have another couple that both just "happen" to have powers (and that without the other knowing). But I kind of like her, and it would be cool if she had powers. Telekinesis, perhaps?
I'm also wondering what's going to be up with Eden when we see her next. Last time we saw her, it was revealed that she's working with none other than HRG himself, Mr. Bennet. Does she actually have any real attachment to Suresh, or was it all a show? Did she have anything to do with his father's disappearance? Will she have much interaction with Isaac?
Then there's Micah. Can anyone tell if the shot of him closing his eyes in the trailer is from Ep. 7 last night, or if it's a new shot of him "fixing" something?
Hiro gets a love interest! Woohooh! If any character deserves it, he does. I love how good natured he is. He has a sense of purpose and throws himself into doing the right thing with such innocent abandon. Even the Poker Room Incident doesn't seem to have scarred him too much. You've gotta respect a guy with that kind of resilience.
On Janice: that is so awful! They may have had a rocky relationship, but at least he remained faithful while she played the injured wife and was cheating behind his back with the Jerk from Work! ARGMPH!
Peter has gotten more likable & earnest, less whiny as things have gone along, but other than his painting session with Isaac (after which the artist mysteriously vanished) he really hasn't done too much lately.
I want to know what's up with Mohinder and the little kid in the preview. It seems really odd...
After the whole Eden working for HRG, I can't trust this new love interest of Hiro's, what if she's just working for the HRG, too, since we know he at least knew someone could time travel, maybe he found Hiro out, perhaps that's why he wasn't in the last episode.
They're insinuating that one of the biggest questions will be answered in the next episode, whose side HRG is on. Is he really just trying to protect Claire, I don't think so, but I want to know what his true intentions are!
On a side note, Issac looks really funny all clean.
OK, I think Matt's wife was having an affair with someone else, not the man he punched, although the man he punched is lusting after his wife. He just kinda overreacted hearing the guy say what he said and knowing his wife is doing what she is doing.
Nikki has given Jessica control, as Nikki is the softer side and Jessica is the harder side, so that she can retrieve Micah, because she believes that Micah could be in danger and she may not ever se him again. Jessica kinda runs on the "by any means necessary" train of thought, but remember when she was fighting the father in the house, she was still kinda acting like she had not real concern that Micah was in the home when initiating the fight. Most mothers (or people with maternal or parenting instinct) would try to avoid a physical altercation as opposed to a verbal one. Ithink the way Jessica acts upon finding Micah and DL is going to prompt Nikki to harness Jessica and her lack of reserve.
BH man is not a bad man, somehow he has stored up alot of radioactive energy and it has adverse effects depending on his feelings toward the person he is in cintact with. Just after touching the nurse and burning her, he touched his wife and her skin was fine, hence my belief that it is emotion controlled, which in time I believe he will be taught to control better.
HRG man is not bad, he's kinda neutral, a means to an end so to speak. He is most likely the one tatooing the people or at least orchestrating the tatooing of the found heroes. I believe the symbol has to do more with the class of the power or the newness of the power. Nikki has had her power for a while prior to the start of the show, DL was already prosecuted and such for the murders before the story started, but Matt's powers just recently appeared.
Micah as I said on another board also appears to be very perceptive, he knew that it was Jessica, not his mother on the phone by intuition, nothing else. I think he knows his father didn't kill those men becasue he knows who did, Jessica, which is why he doesn't say anything because in society's eyes there is only Nikki, not Nikki and Jessica and he would lose his mom by coming forward. But he told Jessica where he was because he is losing faith in his father after his dad not turning around and going back to his mom.
Claire's brother isn't going to say anything about Claire's power to outside people, or he wouldn't have given back the tape. I think Linderman is Sylar, and is having HRG find out about the other heroes so he can prepare for them. Maybe the people who had their brains removed where other heroes and sylar absorbed their brains as a way to absorb their power.
Hiro's love interest seems for real from what I saw, but I think she will end up having powers also.
Eden seems to be able to make people think what she wants them to or suggest things and they adhere to what she says. HRG seems to be immune toher powers, or mystery guy seems to be able to protect him from them.
My hands are tired, I'll write more once the strength returns to my fingers.
Who is this Indian kid at the beginning of the preview? I'm almost sure he's the one who gives Mohinder the key(the one seen in a preview for episode 7, I believe, but it wasn't mentioned in the actual episode.), but I don't know what the key's for. Also, is it just chance that both the new kid AND Micah have there arm extended and such? I don't know if they were hinting at something with that. And a new Theory.... What if Mohinder's power was to find other Mutants, Like how Xavier uses Cererbro to find others in X-Men. But then again I could just be too caught up on comparing the two...
But I agree that Hiro's love interest can't be trusted. And who is it that's going to be going after Claire? I can't decide if it's Sylar or if it's someone from HRG. Maybe claire's dad's higher up wanted something done to Claire, and that's why he seemed like he was trying to protect her. Call me gullable, but I actually believe him.
I think that the little girl and Mohinder are really important to him and the heroes.
That is most likely where the key we were all wondering about comes from, she has her hands outstretched like she is going to give him something.
I also don't get why this episode is called "7 minutes to midnight" it doesn't really correspond to anything we've seen in trailers/previews.
