Considering that he already knows what her superpower is, I imagine he'll react with a lot less surprise and shock than she expects. He'll react like a loving father, because that's what he is. He's a lot of other things too, but he is a loving father.

But if Hiro gives her the book and everyone in the Diner knew Hiro then why did they all treat him like a stranger when he walked in originally before going back in time? Also the Picture on the wall didn't have Hiro in it until after he goes back. Even if Hiro got Charlie to lie and pretend she didn't know him how would he get everyone in the diner to do it?

It's entirely possible (and feasible) that Nathan didn't CARE, and that he immediate thought they guy was a looney and promptly forgot he even existed....
