I was just thinking: Why are some pins connected and some arent? I think it has some meaning...

And does the color of the pin and the thread mean anything? Wel,, i dont think so, but who knows?

It seems that they are treating the discovery of powers like a virus. It is possible that the string represent the path of a virus and the different colors represent different strains. My guess is that unlike a normal virus that will invade any host that it can, the DNA altering virus is selective on some sort of basis. Although many people may be exposed to it, it may select very few in which to abide.
