God bless Canada getting it a day early Smile

Seriously this is the best episode so far and my synopsis really does it no justice at all :$ i was right about HRG, he is a truly good man!

The episode starts with Matt and Ted breaking into the Bennett residence,

The Bennetts come home as they did in last weeks episode to the awaiting "heroes"

There are a lot of threats from Ted regarding getting the truth and Matt reads Claires mind, finds out about her powers and comes across a name.... Peter Petrelli... Matt then remembers "Save the cheerleader, save the world"

We then see the first HRG flashback set 17 years ago......

The flashback shows a man (Linderman?) offering HRG a position in a company then introduces HRG to his future partner....... Claude.

We then go back to the house scene where Ted is ranting about answers... Matt reads his mind and it reveals that if Ted does not get what he seeks, he will go hiroshima on them all.

The next flashback occurs 14 years ago showing a burnt down house with HRG and his partner Claude conversing at the scene. They converse with (Linderman?) and it is revealed that a child survives, in the background there is a man holding a baby. The man turns out to be Hiro's father who is also accompanied by a young Hiro (who is sat down playing a Game Boy). Hiro's father converses with HRG in Japanese and orders HRG to adopt Claire as a SURROGATE father.

Back in the present and Ted is really pissed off and holds a gun upto Mrs Bennett. Claire tries to be a hero and demands that Ted shoots her instead.... Matt looks into Claires mind and Claire is willing him to shoot her... as is HRG.

Matt kills Claire which means Ted feels back in control again and calms down. HRG makes Matt aware that they should move Claires body upstairs so she can revive herself without being discovered.

HRG and Matt converse and Matt realises he needs to side with HRG to stop them all getting blown up.

Back in the present, HRG and Matt think of a plan and decide to let Ted go with HRG to the paper factory to get some answers, Ted says he can do more damage to the Bennett family and makes Matt go with HRG and they have exactly 1 hour to get answers or the family dies..

Another flashback set 14 years ago and HRG is talking to (Linderman?) and we find out that Mrs Bennett is suspicious of HRG after finding a gun in his bag. HRG apologises for the mistake blaming the baby Claire keeping him awake at night which has made him sloppy. (Linderman?) Tells HRG about a young mute boy they found in Haiti who has special powers. When the boy was originally asked what the powers were, the young boy drew a picture of memories being plucked away.

With HRG and Matt in the factory, HRG instills some home truths to Matt about a few things, specifically the fact that he has alerted the Haitian and that he has a plan to use a tranguiliser on Ted. HRG and the Haitian meet and Mr Bennett tells the memory wiper that he knows he can talk and also that he and Claire have been meeting.

The next flashback is set 7 years ago and shows HRG + Claude driving in a car. HRG tells Claude that there is a leak in the company which is revealed to be Claude. They stop at a bridge, Claude knows that he has been exposed as the leak and appeals to HRG's humanitarian side saying he is trying to protect others like Claire and he is currently protecting an unkown person that the company wants. HRG has orders to kill the leak but has a moral dilemma as Claude has been his friend/partner for a long time.

At this point HRG fires a shot at Claude but in my opinion, the first one doesn't look intentional, he then fires another 2 shots when Claude starts to disappear, at this point they are still on the bridge and just as Claude disappears it looks as though he is going to fall off the bridge.

In the present Ted goes to inspect Claires corpse while meanwhile she is trying to free her Mother and Brother. Ted uncovers the bedsheets concealing Claires body and discovers the ruse, he goes downstairs to find them all fleeing but manages to grab Claire. Claire urges her mother and brother to run but her mother will not leave her behind. Ted grabs Claire by the throat and starts to burn her, he moves his hand away and both he and Mrs Bennett realise that Claire is special. Her brother manages to escape but Ted ties up the mother and daughter. Mrs Bennett says that her daughter is special and it is the will of God that she lives.

After a bit of conversation, Matt and HRG walk back into the house carrying a folder about Ted. They tell Ted that he was brought in 3 months ago because he was emitting low levels of radiation and that they did not do anything to him. The Haitian enters and escorts Claire and Mrs Bennet out of the house while things are explained.

(Linderman?) Sneaks in through the back door and shoots Ted. Ted is not killed and instead starts going Hiroshima, the house starts getting destroyed whilst Matt and HRG are still in the house. Matt gets out of the house leaving HRG with ted, things start getting worse and all the walls burst into flames, HRG starts preparing the tranquiliser but cannot get close to Ted.

Claire re-enters the house and offers to to tranquilise Ted as she cannot get hurt by him. HRG leaves the house and a crowd is gathering because Lyle called the Police. There is a large explosion then silence....

Claire walks out of the house as she is regenerating (it looks cool as hell)..

The next scene shows (Linderman?) and HRG walking together and (Linderman?) says it a shame to have to kill another partner, HRG is using the Haitian as a scapegoat and says that he never knew about Claires gifts. We are then shown Ted in Sylars prison and Matt with wires in his head, both recieving testing. (Linderman?) says that Matt could make a good partner. There is a woman running the tests on Matt and it is said that she will help clean up the mess his daughter created.

The final flashback is set 3 years ago and shows HRG and Claire choosing glasses for HRG, Claire asks if she will become short sighted like her father and grandfather when HRG tells her that she is adopted, she may never have grown inside Mrs Bennett but she grew in her heart.

Back to the present with Claire and HRG returning to the bridge where Claude was shot, the Haitian joins them and their plan is revealed. HRG is willing to sacrifice himself so his daughter can escape the tests that (Linderman?) is demanding be done. The Haitian shoots HRG in a non fatal area so that it is a plausible escape for Claire. We see HRG falling down, Claire rushes to hug him, crying saying that she loves him and she then backs away.....

I'm quite crap at writing synopsis but meh.

This is a huge spoiler and cannot be moved to Season 1 until after the episode airs.

Great! Thanks and yes this is certainly a huge spoiler as it tells exactly what happens in tonights episdode. I can't wait to see it.

What tables are turned? I quit reading it after i realized how in depth you went. No table turned here MATE! You sound bitter that you have read to many spoilers that have ruined your day before, and now you have gotten everyone back! Wooo Hooo! I feel no pitty for anyone without the self control to stop reading something they dont want to read.

I appreciate Beelzebubs spoiler. He made a clear statement that this is a huge spoiler and I for one love spoiling the show before I see it. What difference does it make anyway. You just find out a little earlier what is going to happen. This is a spoiler forum anyway. I hope Beelzebub or someone will give us a day early spoiler every week. I love it.

I second that herodude. Personally looking at spoilers makes it better because you know what is gonna happen but you don't know exactly how it gets to that point and all the little details it gives me something to look forward to. I too hope this becomes an every week thing that would be great plus i can shock all my friends by making hugely accurate statements about what I think is gonna happen lol.

I saw this post and waited till I had seen the show before I read the spoiler. I prefer to watch it and make up my own mind, *then* read other's opinion on the show.

An excellent show - I wonder about the hierarchy of the company and how it came to be. After all, some mobster in the US and a Japanese CEO just don't bump into each other in bars too often. Do they run "the company" together, or is Linderman(?) just a special employee of Yamagato Industry?

Hmmm... just thinking. If Yamagato Industry noticed the powers, I wonder if they set up "the company" as a research arm to try and cash in on it?

Linderman may just have been hired by Hiro's dad to do some dirty work Stateside, and it turned into a full-time job?

Let me be one of the first to say... but I just watched the episode online thanks to the links that Acidtwister posted in my "Heroes Airs in Canada" thread, and I have never seen such an emotional ending like that in all of Heroes. I venture to say in any show. I am sitting here LITERALLY CRYING FOR HRG (tears really were running down my cheeks for a few moments), something that I thought I would never do. That's how intense and upsetting the ending is... be prepared... and have lots of tissues. ~Sigh~ Sad

About the synopsis - didn't they say HRG's boss was Thompson, not Linderman? And the preview indicated that Linderman will be introduced next week (or maybe it was "in coming weeks").

EDIT: About the spoilers - I just stayed out of the forum since Sunday night, rather than test my willpower. I like hints, but the synopsis would have been too much.

i didn't read the spoiler until after seeing the show but it was thompson and not linderman . also when claire is walking outta the burning house and she is beginning to regenerate , her perm also seemed to be regenerating ...i think ...kinda funny
