It appears that Elle has the ability to control electricity. She certainly may bethe person from whom Peter obtained his electrical manipulation ability.

Yeah I'd say he got it from her as well! I'm wondering who "Dad" is?!! And, does she work for "the" company or another one we don't know about yet? Pretty funny she fried Caitlin's brother! He thought he was so bad, now he's just burnt toast. LOL!

Elle (Kristen Bell) A young woman in her 20's who has lived with the power of electric manipulation all her life and is in search for Peter, on behalf of The Company. Her father, who is unknown, works for the Company and appears to also be her superior in the Company.

Maybe her father is Adam Munroe?

Oh, good everyone here classifys it as Electrokinesis. on Heroeswiki they call it Electromagnetism. Electromagnitism is what the Agent in Walls had

How can it be "Electromagnetism"? The Heroeswiki is confused.

You know, (as if you couldn't tell from my Avatar), I know a bit of the Greek Language, where this word comes from, hence

Electrokinesis = The ability to both create AND direct electricity.

Electromagnetism is simply a combination word inferring that an object exhibits both electrical and magnetism properties.

So, my vote goes for Electrokinesis.

Yeah, I'm with Hercules... it just makes more sense! Though if she could manipulate it TO get electromagnetism, that would be rather cool.

And, with a theory, I and a few others are bandying around, do you reckon that Elle's dad could be 'Bob'?

My friend Webster says, "electromagnetism: 1. magnetism produced by an electric current; 2.a. the interaction between a magnetic field and an electric field; 2.b. the phenomena produced by such an interaction; 3. the branch of physics that deals with electricity and magnetism."

The first thing that came to my mind was an image of Elle as an electromagnet, sucking things made of iron/steel toward herself. I would normally use definition 2 or 3. BTW, "phenomena produced by such an interaction" includes the wave behavior of light, radio, microwave, and other forms of radiation. The classes I took on the wave stuff were called electrodynamics, to distinguish them from the more fundamental study of electromagnets, electric motors, transformers, etc.

Electromagnetism doesn't sound like a very good description of a power to me, because it's very broad. Ted, Hana, and Claude have powers that could be described by electromagnetism. Elle just generates huge amounts of static electricity.

Electromagnetic induction is a way of generating a potential difference, but not the only way.

All we have seen her do is generate arcs of electromotive force, so .. Maybe she is just a new way of creating energy. As in:

Ways of generating electric potential

Electro magnetic induction
light (photons)
chemical reaction
static/friction
heat
Elle (being added to science textbooks as we speak)

Bob seems almost too obvious, but I don't know who else it could be. Unless of course she's Parkman's sister/half-sister, but that seems like a stretch.

It feels like I've said this before, but apparently not in this thread. Somewhere there was another in which we were discussing Elle's likely parentage.

Bob strikes me very much as someone who would indoctrinate his daughter for the company and exploit her skills. We had a spoiler from Kristin Bell which said something like Elle was "trained like an animal" since she was a child and used for her power. He could be her birth father or her adoptive father.
