Anyone else wonder about these two? Simone for sure, but something I read about her dad made me wonder today.
Charles Deveaux is played by Richard Roundtree. He is the father of Simone Deveaux and a former patient of Peter Petrelli. He is currently in a coma. Simone believed that Peter was "like a son to him" and that Charles improved under Peter's care. - from WikiPdia
Any theories on how Peter's power of mimicery could help Mr. Deveaux get better?...or did Mr. Deveaux clue Peter in (directly or indirectly) on his powers somehow |

| I doubt it. I follow the "one eclipse started everyone's powers" theory. A lot of terminal (Mr. Deveaux was termal?) patients get attached to their caregivers. |

I do believe their powers started around the eclipse, but not at the eclipse. They had already stated showng signs of their abilities. Claire was on attempt 16 before the eclipse came along, etc.
As per Peter, his power might have something to do with Mr. deveaux recovery. We haven't seen what Simone is capable of as of yet, so there might be some connection there. |

In my opinion, the powers probably began to manifest WAY before the eclipse, take for instance the mass grave that Niki buried the 2 bodies at. There were already decomposed bodies in the ground. Im not a CSI person, but I would have to say that those bodies, given teh exteme heat, and lack of moisture, those bodies very well could have been there for years, and being that they were part of DL's crew, we can assume that they may have been there for 10 years, being that Miccah is around 10-12 (Im terrible at guessing kids ages)
How long was Chandra working on his theory, when was his book published? Obviously for him to theorize about the next step in human evolution, it had to have been going on for some time... |

I, too, am of the belief that the powers have been developing well before the Eclipse, but that is not to remove the significance of it. I am fairly certain that the Eclipse shall be both revealed and key to the plot.
Can't wait until Monday! I hope we get to see more Simone, Peter, and Sylar...thus, more answers. |
