A important question that one of my brothers (the one who made me see "Shaolin Soccer") ask me...I donīt have the answer,but I think that maybe..yeah...what do you think?
He can have the ability to be him...isnīt that enough?
Of course! After all, I want his ability when I get to be his age as well. Heck, I'd even go for Jackie Chan! Or even Robert Redford! Heck, Clint Eastwood!
All these aging stars that can still make cash are guys that I'd love to be able to emulate, so I don't see why they aren't thought of as having super powers!
Chuck Norris can be anything he wants to be.
Chuck Norris is a perfect being.
In 1988 Mr Norris stared in Hero and the Terror
playing the Hero role from that title.
If that doesn't convince you
in 1994 he stared in Hellbound
where he kicks the butt of Satan himself.
I kid you not,
Chuck Norris beat up the Devil.

We have a ton of Chuck fans here, and they seem to worship
every show and film he's ever made. Heck, they have even
gone so far as to hold a "Chuckfest" at someone's house, and
watched every film he's ever been in for one four-day weekend!
I can't say as I'm that rabid a fanatic, but I do tend to like his
movies. I tend to agree with Stoney on the whole "Walker"
issue, as I can't really stand his movie plots being torn apart
to make a few hour long scenes for TV, and I also have to admit
to not really liking the theme song much as well. He's a great
martial artist, but he's not a recording artist, kicks or not!
Sorry. I just can't stand the dude. When I was younger, I loved a good Chuck Norris movie, but now I can't stand 'em. I think it all comes back to the Walker thing.
P.S.: I had a friend put a comment on my myspace page a while back: It's a picture of Chuck Norris in a karate stance, and says, "Every time you masburbate, Chuck Norris punches a baby in the face." I thought it was friggin' hilarious . . . .
I don't under this whole Chuck Norris following. I mean, those Walker shows were terrible, and he's a terrible actor. And all this 'Chuck Norris' tears can cure cancer, too bad he doesn't cry' and lines like that just are.... well they're incredibly lame. Just say No to Chuck!

he's a martial arts expert.
Even the best of them couldn't act,
Bruce Lee himself was never more than a competent actor
yet he made some amazing films despite the poor dubbing
and ham fisted plot lines...
His screen presence alone and incredible martial arts skills made the films.

will not be auditioning for this season's
Royal Shakespearean Festival.
It's not about the acting...
it's about kicking butt.
After all, if it weren't for the Dragon, we'd not have most of the martial arts actions stars that we have today. Bruce Lee was the pioneer of the martial arts action hero for the West. Hollywood had seen the movies that were coming out of Hong Kong, but they refused to think that anyone would be willing to watch something like that.
Bruce Lee was the visionary that actually convinced a couple of smaller studios to take a gamble, and try showing a film or two. "Enter the Dragon" was his first major film debut for America, and it recieved suprising success. However, Bruce never got to see this air, as he was dead and gone before the movie ever hit the screen. Since that movie, others that he starred in over in Hong Kong were released here in the States to wide critical acclaim. "Fist of Fury" and "Game of Death" were his two big hits along with "Enter the Dragon". Also in these movies Bruce found a couple of stand-in actors who are now major stars in the action world.
Jackie Chan himself was discovered by Bruce while filming "Enter". Chuck Norris was in "Game of Death", along with Kareem Abdul Jabbar! Heck, even Jean-Claude VanDamme got a few of his villans from Bruce's acting crews!
So, even though most of these martial artists can't act, they can move! And most of the reason for the appeal to watch a martial arts action film is to watch the choreography of the martial arts scenes.. One can never really know if some of the moves they portray are possible, but it is kind of interesting to watch them do moves that in real time you never really see the full impact of the hits they put on another opponent..
Chuck himself is known for his kicks. His punches weren't really something to write home about, but those legs were known to bust down small trees.
Jackie's ability is in his tumbling and evasion skills.
Bruce was the consummate artist, with speed, strength, and power. After all, being only 5 foot 8, 150 pounds, and being able to put over 2000 pounds of force into a punch is quite a feat!
So I think the major goal in loving a person like Chuck is that he's not really pretty, and he can't really act, but if you're good at something, you can still make a differece!
I agree with you,guys:Chuck canīt act,he just canīt,but heīs a great entertainer instead.I think that not everybody can be Spencer Tracy,and this is good.
But Chuck can be a Heroe,and he's the ultimate martial artist for me,heīs very dedicated to the arts.I do TaekwonDo,and I respect him so much!
And Jorm...I did that Chuckīs marathons,hahaha!
Anyway,Chuck rocks,Chuck rules!!!!
