just to name a few:
obviously Hiro's references to Star Trek, i think he also mentioned Kitty Pride
superman reference with the kid watching Peter trying to fly
Ando could be a reference to Tadao Ando, creater of Dragonball
Hiro could be an allusion to Hero from GundamWing
future Hiro with a sword could be an allusion to future Trunks from DBZ
I didn't realize there were as many either but, I never read comic books and just recently got into superheroes. I missed out! I got the Star Wars reference, though.

This reminded me of 'The Greatest American Hero'. In that show the guy (Ralph Hinkley) is wearing his suit and trying to fly. A kid watching tells him he's doing it wrong. The kid says he has to take three giant steps and jump real hard (or something like that). Of course it works and Ralph goes flying off - if you call that flying.
I think she is cute, too but, she is an integral part of the show, for now anyway. I hope we are not going to save only cute people. Important characters might get killed off. Lol
That was more of an idle comment. We shall still have to see what happens, but I believe they will indeed save the cheerleader...

, Hiro works hard to convince Ando of his powers and of the future events he witnessed. He shows Ando the comic book, which details nearly every event that is going to happen to them that day. Though Ando remains skeptical, Hiro leads him to a place where a schoolgirl is depicted in the comic to be hit by a bus. Managing to find the girl and freeze time, he hurries through the mess of items that the truck collides with (including a table full of vinyl Mazinger Z figures). After Hiro moves the girl's time-frozen body just out of harm's way, time begins to move again. Hiro and Ando then celebrate the achievement, and Hiro convinces Ando to go with him to New York. They fly to Los Angeles and rent a car for driving to Las Vegas, all the while following the comic's storyline. However, after they rent a Nissan Versa, the comic book reads "To be continued…"
